Starfield

So, have any of you bought this game already?

I'm still reticent while reviews tend to point out problems with optimization, slow-paced first half of the game, the usual bug-fest, the emptiness of some planets you can explore (and everything associated with it: the procedural generation copying/pasting structures, loots and enemies from very different planets; not having a vehicle to speed up your roaming, making you have to cover great distances on foot), the skill lock up system, which makes some stuff, which should be simple, too hard to get because it has too many requirements, the fact that your chosen background doesn't guarantee you have the skills and knowledge of things you clearly should have; and, of course, pricing.

Given these points greatly affect my mood regarding a game, I thought I should ask here for some additional input as well. Still waiting to see the big updates as well.

What I really don't want to see is Bethesda sitting on their @sses waiting for the modding community to fix its game. Instead mods should just tweak with things and add/suggest content, as a bonus, because the game would be awesome already. I hate this sort of fix-the-game policy. It reminds me of the latter HoMM installments.

Just give me TES VI and ditch this sci-fi crap.

Also get Michael Kirkbride to write it.

I only have Morrowing and haven't played it much, it didn't appease my mood, probably because I was not keen of playing a 1st person RPG by then, making me wonder why the blue heck would I spend time and concern creating a character that was likely to appear once or twice, regardless if it was indeed the case anyway, and not that it matters today. Dunno if it's the same in Skyrim, I never even tried. But for this one, I avoided because I didn't want to get stuck in another game and lose time whereas I should be taking care of my health, physical and mental, instead, having other activities in my day, seeing actual people.

But I went to check on VI's trailer, and there's basically nothing. Considering it had been announced in 2019? 5 years of just being fed a single CGI of random mountains to wait a game that's going to be released, if things go unchanged, in 2026, I agree with the anxiety and irritation, it's quite jarring to be frank. People get jaded after a while, and the demand for an outstanding, if not flawless, game rises exponentially. We are not getting any younger – not paying only money for the game whatsoever.

TES VI trailer:

"Wow! Here's some mountains and soms mist! Some epic music ramping up! I wonder, what they will show beyond the mountains? What is lurking in the mist? What does the trailer wants us to know about the game"

*TES VI TITLE*

*VIDEO SUDDENLY ENDS"

I'm getting this, and Jedi Survivor pretty soon.

Tbh I feel I am going to play Jedi Survivor more if it is not extremely linear.

Been looking forward to starfield for years.

I've heard that Star Citizen seems to be finally on the way. I have already given up Starfield.

Right now, I'm just waiting my birthday this next November 2nd to buy Star Ocean the Second Story R to play one of my preferred JRPGs of all time again.

I actually need to consider this. TesVI I'll definitely want an Xbox.

But as of now is starfield alone worth going Xbox? I just spent the night looking at game after game and really nothing grabs my attention. Maybe there will be more releases in the next few months. Or maybe I'm just not into gaming like I used to be.

I'm not really a console gamer, so I cannot suggest you to buy a thing only to play one game, specially when said game is not really doing well. There are simply too many aspects (either good or bad) that will spoil the fun to me considering about almost every part of the game, going from weak storyline, bland worlds, lot of time wasted, loading screens and menus everywhere, bizarre NPCs with random diversity generator, useless features, crawling planet exploration, bugs ... I'm not a supporter of 'let the mods fix the game'. The game shouldn't have to be fixed by mods, or we should just pay them instead.

But it would be best if you went to check on some reviews, LOTS OF THEM, to really make a decision as to buy a console only to play that. I would advise not to, if I were in your position. For now, Star Citizen seems to be getting into a good shape and might be the better alternative, although I'm waiting its official release to decide anything.

I was hyped for Starfield, but something was nagging in my mind, echoing Mass Effect Andromeda, Mass Effect Andromeda. MEA was my most disappointing experience in gaming history and I really did not want to have another serving of such thing.

Playing no man's sky on my phone with Xbox pass

I tried starfield but it feels very meh so far, and the space combat offers no tutorial worth a darn. Like, legit there needs to be a specifier showing us which button to press to lock on.

And both games it's just constantly spinning back and fourth since ai just blasts far away then comes at you, switching back and fourth.

Space combat in both of these games are lacking big time. But I'm leaning towards NMS for right now.

Still, pretty nuts I can skip console altogether and play either of these games (and a bunch more) for $17 a month. Maybe even the $10 pass would work..

I wonder how it would look with an MHL phone plugged in to HDMI or maybe wifi casting.

I think a game named EVERSPACE might be a bit more enjoyable regarding space battle, apparently. People often said that they expected Starfield to be a mix of No Man's Sky and Everspace. So, out of curiosity and because it's cheap, I bought Everspace 1 (there's also a 2), although I was not yet at the mood to play it. I'll wait a bit until I get in the mood to play that game, although I would suggest you to take a peek and see what you think.

I'm trying a completionist gameplay in Final Fantasy 12 the Zodiac Age, getting all achievements, now that I got all achievements for Star Ocean the Second Story R.
