Games amidst Nuclear Winter

You are in the luxury bunker on an uninhabitable island, deep beneath Earth surface suffering nuclear winter. Foods, drinks, girls, and games. You have a lot of supplies, safety, and what years God blessed you with ahead. Alas, games are limited to three. Which three games would you pick to while away time left?

I would have liked more games but if I have to pick just three...

HoMM IV, Gothic 2 and FIFA 06 it is.

Strategy, RPG and Football Simulation

All packed with the sweet nostalgia flavour.

What about you?

It's a very hard question, actually. You would like to pick your favorite games, but only those of them with great replayability value. As much as you would like to take, for example, Myst with you, you just can't allow it to yourself, because there are only three free slots for games, and I doubt Myst can compete at all in this difficult situation.

I would pick:

1. Heroes of Might and Magic III
2. The Witcher III
3. (the last and therefore the hardest choice) Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition

1. No matter how much I love HoMM I and II, HoMM III wins for it has all that older games can offer. Also HoMM III has a great RMG, which makes it the number one choice.
2. You'll probably be missing surface activities - people and small talks with them, architecture, nature, etc. The Witcher III can provide it all, also being huge enough to entertain you for a long time ahead. Actually, I like Dragon Age: Origins more, but I have to pick The Witcher III for its length and vast spaces to explore/roam.
3. There are several games I wish I could put there (Dragon Age: Origins, King's Bounty: The Legend, M&M VI, The Talos Principle...), but I have to pick just one, so let it be NWN:EE - one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I'd probably play it with every combination of classes possible, and then, when I had enough, there is the Infinite Dungeons premium module

Probably would take:
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Final Fantasy XII
The Witcher III

Pretty much a pen and paper is all I need

A computer is already a more advanced version of pen and paper

Include basic programming tools and manuals and I may make my own games, given decades

Provided you have your favorite pen and paper games in the bunker, which three computer games would you take? You cannot change them for other stuff anyway

Hard choice! But I try to think decently and closely.

1. Heroes 3 WoG/ERA
2. Doom3
3. Some powerful chess engine

Why I don't choose a Monopoly? When I thought the game board is a different thing. How a chess engine? I collect chess openings, chess traps, etc to database, my one chess hobby too..

This is a really hard question. Assuming there is no kind of network..

-Witcher 3 because it was very difficult for me. The combat system and item system was complicated. Would be rewarding to spend the time it would take for me to get it down.

-God of War (the first new gen console release one)

-HOMM 3 wog.

This would not be my final answer in a real scenario.

Well, I am not too sure having PC games is better than nothing

Imagine there is a nuclear winter, several people have vaults, and after years they emerge.

"I wrote ten volumes about the history of humanity", one will say
"I made a hundred fictions never before seen", another will reply
"I made a magnum opus of neoclassical music symphonies", the third will say proud, "and you? What about you?"

"I played Diablo 2 for ten years straight"

***

Well anyways, if we take the premise non seriously:
* HOMM4
* Starcraft
* Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge? Age of Empires III? Or maybe MUGEN, if there is someone else to play

The important shared features is that these stuff is scriptable so you can change the game dynamics via scripts and play different kinds of games with the same engine... in fact Starcraft was the genesis of MOBA via a custom map
