What can I play after all?
I've tried a few maps since the HotA update with the new Factory town came out and they all have the same problem. The only challenge can come from heroes set to stand-still. Anyone that is hired and moving across the map will disappear forever as soon as we meet.
So I'm asking for suggestions. What can be played in this HotA version and doesn't suffer from this? Or should I roll back this version and lose an awful town with a bunch of amazing new heroes (Murdoch smug is so perfect for an AI super-boss...).

Have you finished the new campaign? There is no such a problem there. As for AI not recruiting strong heroes (as they are gone). It makes games faster. Strong heroes need strong armies to be a threat. If you've destroyed AI main forces, I doubt you'll see a further challenge, still, a map has to be finished to claim a win. You'll just do it faster than if you would fought strong heroes with just 1-2 weeks castle growth.

Well said. Altrought bloodsucker is talking about a real issue I would want to be adressed, it has always bugged me that the games simply drag on due AI not being able to give up. The best fights with AI usually happen pretty early on in my experience, as by then the AI can actually have some kind of advantage over the player as it start with more resources. I think I'm still expecting to have some sort of proper "end fight" with AI, but I feel I almost always end up being disapointed. The end game usually is centered around defending towns that are being invaded by heroes that crawl out of their holes before their time runs out.

Alexspl Right, that's why I progressively increase their creature growth and resources with timed events.
I've tried dynamic boosts, like leaving a event in front of a warehouse of their preferred resource, so they would get a nice hero once per week but they kept stepping on it till they were 99/99/99/99 and never leaved their area...
Best trick I know is still: small heroes pool so they rehire frequently. Now, I need one new.
P.S. I don't play campaigns. Can't play them in God's mode.
P.P.S. BTW, anyone knows anything about the Templates Editor and what I need to do to have my old templates showing on the list?
