Saw it yesterday and burst out laughing...
Ubisoft again not understanding anything....
This could have easily been an expansion for Olden Era or something...having two HoMM games coming together, while on top of it HoMM3 having an actual playerbase spells d i s a s t e r

Nah this doesn't look bad at all, it just looks very different from what we are used to and very un-heroes-esque imo. The Hero sprites look like actual AI tho.
But apparently this game will support all fanmade content released for the original game, supposedly it can be converted very easily. How exactly this works is not known yet.
Also HotA and original H3 developers were involved with this.

This reminds me a lot of the Age of Empires Definitive Edition. It looked very strange and different at first, but today it's commonly viewed as the gold standard of Remakes in gaming, invigorating the community who was for years forced to fend for themselves.
I was skeptical of the AoE Definitve Edition, but I was proven wrong. I feel the same here, and I hope I will be proven wrong again.
