Count me out !!
That randoms tourny might have had potential BUT wiz made it ADDICTS style. BAH.
All that does is reward the players that lose and plays 24/7
They could lose 15 games a week and still have 15pts and I could win 4 games a week, ( which is double the amount I usually have time for) and still be behind.
Where is the reward for actually winning games. Even in TOH I hated and disagreed with addicts style format. People with real lives and families are discriminated against... addicts only benefits the people who live online 24/7
bring back the good'ol brackets. Match ups People!!!!!!!!!!!

I joined the Random discovery tourney after a 3 month heroes 3 hiatus. I like the addicts style, that way you can play a game anytime you can find an opponent.
I agree it does benefit the players that have no life and can play online 24/7. But it is the lesser of two-evils so to speak.
Bracketed tournies for online play are destined for failure, failure of your opponents to either meet you when you schedule a game, failure of players to complete the games within a specified time frame and failure of the tournament coordinators to have the guts to actually stick to a deadline! Show me a bracketed tourney that kept its deadline or had all players that sign up for it actually play there appointed games? My guess...there probably isnt one.
Enough rambling about tournies...its all for fun and its all in what you like. Me... well i was hoping for H4 online play by now.... but ...am forced to go back to H3 for a little while.

Actually ironmlh,,,
,,,when playing at Encounters tourney,i had one of best times in my LIFE..!and the quality of it wasn't in the hommgame or the opponents only, but it was in the tournament's nature...
...sad thing that this style of tournaments(Encounters,Tymeria) are destined to fade, but,it's extra quality fun while you're in it...
...see you all believers in some future side-dish tourn

Ditto, Insatiable. My earlier comments were about TOH bracketed tournies.

Yes Encounters was thy good ole days.
It was so much fun with no stress, worries or bad people.
Was peaceful & fun & is a shame it took it's course.
Thats why I tell Withe Knight Wizard "If you need help dont be shy to ask anyone for help as a volunteer.
Thy old One tried ta tackle everythang down all byhimself which he did a spetacular job but unfortunately he gotten tired & couldnt go on.
It was my first tournament I really played in & developed my skills little by little.
Even when I stopped playing Encounters & started playing in mid season 4 I was still learning my skills.
Even now I am better then season 4 but still learning.
I hope I can play some of my old buddies from Encounters .
Everyone have fun & play fair
