h4 minimum requirement problem !!!
dear friends,
i have h4 on my hands right now but i cant play... my cpu is p2 300 mhz 128ram everthing is ok but.... my cd romdriver is old!!! i cant install the game to my computer.. pls if one of you know how to solve reply to this post ... its hard to feel h4 on my hands and couldnt play... i searched on web for some solutions about but nothing... my cd driver works too slow to install the game and evertime i tried to install i receive error message... im waiting your urgents helps..

Buy new CD-rom driver. They are rather cheap. Your CPU could also be better. Heck, I would buy a new computer if I were you.

I don't have the MhZ, I don't have the diskspace, I don't have the graphics... all I HAVE is the CD drive it seems... more HOMMIII for me...

wow you tight butts you rather stay playing the ancient HOMM3 then spend a few bucks upgrading? Upgrades are soo dirt cheap now adays should be no problem.

Maybe for some it is, but I, with my pre-historical machine, need to buy a whole new PC, that's not as cheap.
Well, actually I only need Processor and graphic card, but changing my processor to something up-to-date means bying a new mother-board (and the same goes for a graphic card), which is rather expencive (at least here).
If you're somewhat curious I have 200MhZ

at last !!
yesterday i sold 2 unite of my blood to acibadem hospital and i have new cd rom now .... the problem is that i play the game now and i think my precious B rh (-) spent for a f... game

Jinxer, I could not have hacked waiting even a few days for the mail to send me a copy of H4. I love it already.
You should definitely look at upgrading Hamsi. You may think you can play it ok on 300MHz but it will be slow and Im guessing your video card could perform better also.

yeah! im very curios on my comp its a old one and i dont think HOMM 4 will work i have 301Mhz 64Mb RAM and only 3Gb diskspace.... think it will work???

Requirements
Well i got my copies of H4 and MM yesterday while i was out of town looking for a place to rent. I just had to make a stop at the local mall to grab my copies. But unfortunately i am still out of town at my Mothers home.
I have managed to install H4 and play some... but due to my moms cpu .... Celereon 400 64 megs of ram... i can start h4 and play some.. albeit rather slow. But at least i got a small glimpse of the game and it looks great. I just wish i was home to play it on a real system.

I am going nuts waiting on it!!! But FREE is free I guess.
I am kinda discouraged though, after reading that guess total destruction of the game in one of the other posts! He had NOTHING good to say about it. I am hopeing he is just flaming and is not giving a true interpretation of the game.
So would be good to hear so positive feed back on the game.

Upgrade prices
I got a buddy that buids computers and quoted me a price of 70$ for the new motherboard and 90$ for the new 1.7 GHZ processor. So for 160$ or less you can have a 1.7GHZ processor! Can you buy a whole new computer for that? I just bought me a 64meg pci geforce card for 50$ so grand total to upgrade would be 210$ now if you can buy a whole new computer for that price please let me know where!!!!

I will have a review on ToH in a few days
H4 is good, and well worth my support for a tournament. People get upset when something is totally new. But its good. Not GREAT, but good.

I got the game today & I was able to play some but only have 64 ram so I can only play so much & in battlw mode everytime I finish a battle it will freeze completely & had to turn off & on my com about 5 times in an hr so I wont be able to play till Monday probally
