The money would come from 2 places
1) Sponsorships - I know this is a hard one but we have a lot of talented people in our community and I am sure we have attourneys, salespeople(that's me) and others talents who could be pooled to make this happen without it getting in the way of your busy schedule Rob.
I agree with DSTG that right now we are lucky you are doing what you are doing for us and could not ask you to do more. Your marriage and career are way more important.
2) Admission fees. If we have 50 people willing to make the trip and pay $100 in advance to register and reserve the space we have the prize money and anything over that is profit.
When I mentioned that idea I mentioned it as a venture oppurtunity. I would never think of you doing it if you weren't going to profit from it.
Also it HAS to be in Arizona if Rob is holding it because he is the man and we go to where the man is. And Phoenix is an excellent vacation spot anyway.
Take your time now and get settled with your new life but next time you feel that burning to do something bigger and better like you always do, consider this idea. You are the guy who can do it and we all trust you to do it with the kind of class you have shown in ToH all along.

The idea
The idea is definitely sound, and when is the best time than sometime in august, near TOH seasons' end, Homm4's near beginning, and vacation time for most of us. But if we are really planning on something like this, I would like an enthusiastic person (like Mocara) to be the part driving force in getting this going.

If you don't want to rip off the main guy here for cash just make it so that everyone who wants to be a toh player has to pay one year fee of 25$ you can use paypal for usa people and www.e-gold.com for eu transfers.When everyone has payed the admin won't have to use his own money and even the prices will be bigger imo.

1 extra idea
I come with another idea.
We can create an annual or session fee for some TOH diplomas on which we'll have our rank, points, etc. Those diplomas need to be real beautiful, and need to have Ves signature on them...
I'd love to have one of that... after a long session of toh games.
What about you guys?
I will also happily agree to participate with a fee in any program Ves decide.(or almost)

or we can deal to create some medals...honorifics... whatever not necessary too expensive, for all players from squires above ...
This way we can develop something with those money...

Were talking about making the time in toh more fun.
I think we need to add new flavor in toh.
Not medals but different tournies.
More ideas.
More people may play if we add new ideas.
Come on Diegis, make a new thread about new ideas.
I think an idea would to have a big elimination tourney.
Foot soldies vs emperors & lords.
Squires & Barons vs Legionaires.
Bonus is not letting emperors lose more points if they lose.
Maybe footsoldiers getting more points for beating a Lord etc.
Maybe a prize for first & second or just first.
Point is. COme up with new ideas & share it.
Maybe Ves will make it happen.

*see some games recently (1 yrs) on the market: all have some sort of prizes, y wouldnt Toh have some? I see only advantages from this one. And dont need to be strictly for all players.
For example, if u want u can have an extra registration option, where u can see ur games against players, or a graphic evolution.
This could be fun for all players, dont u think Acu?!

If Rob would do it. It can bring memories but how would the oponents feel about the idea.

I dislike cash awards too...
Becouse they can put UNTRUST between people.
So if i take part of the Caesar (And i strongly wish do it) i gladly make all to proves me non-cheater
Good idea to have some "plases" where some participants can Reach.
For exaple travel to Moscow is easy for me (Last time iwas on GIGA with prise 1000$-1st, 500-2nd and 250-3rd plase, allis ok but it was Duels, so no luck for me)
So if we have some plases with cameras, good connection and watchers, that will be nice...
Just 2-3 people going here (2-3 to Moscow, 2-3 to Romania, 2-3 to USA e.t.c...) speack with frieands (I like to see Oxygen and CMEPTb in real life)
So may be that is good desision, and some payment to organizators, guaranteeng of stong inet (Imagine what i feel if HAVE DISCONNECT during DANGEROUS BATTLE - need report loss, to not put untrusrt,and it wery sad fo me )
Also it make stronger ToH Links with another communities...
