I Was Talking to Hexa through IM's Earlier this Morning.....He Brought up a Good Point.....People Will not accept my Threads now Because i have a Reputation.....Now SOME of The threads i make would be rated "Interesting" or "Funny" if made by someone Like Oldtimer or Cat...and the rest of you guys. But Since i DO Have a reputation, When Does a reputation Go Away?
Could it be in a Couple Hours?
Maybe a Couple days?
Weeks? Months? Years?
Or how About whenever the heck you want it to go away.

Mayhaps redeemption.
Try replying somethang meaningful in others thread & might take a while but once you redeem yourself mayhaps we will consider even reading any of your threads

I disagree.
If you make a good post/thread i will say so and i have done that one time aswell. But the problem for you seems to be to make these good threads/posts. So far i think ive seen you make one good post and start up one good thread (movie thread). Other threads are usually just plain stupidity so i can understand if some people has started to ignore your post by now but that doesnt mean that everyone judges a thread just because you are the creator of it. Even if i think this is just another brainless thread from you...

Man, your alright. I'll be honest about threads you make too. Here's one thing I see.
Your thread's and posts are usually about you personnaly. Someone saying "That was a *^%&%^ post", In half of the taverns thread's, is almost the same as posting "I'm catching bad feelings" in half of the taverns thread's.
Dude, mabey a thread or 2 a month about you. It seem's like your trying to catch everyone's focus. You want them to change an irrelevant decision you presume is made. You think 75% of us hate you, and you want to change mind's.
1: 75% is wrong. More like 20%. LoL
2: That decision is irrelevant to how you should feel and act.
3: 3 kind's of people flame you. Mainly the 3 who flame 90% of us(Unmentioned names). There are people you barely know who stop in once a week.
Then people who dont want to see you post about *how we feel about you*.
I'll only tell you once. From the begginging when my registered date was the only thing that kept me off the newbie status.. I thought you were cool. Really. Funny guy I love the avatar too.
Another thing I see about your thread's is some are offspring's from other thread's (I know sometime's not on purpose) You cant really try to get everyone to like you. Just be man.. Make some thread's to get the ball rollin', but not to be the one rolling it.
One last thing.. When you fite back at garbage posts, your gonna carry the garbage on, AND get more back. Just ignore the fire.
Summary:
Relax man & keep visiting
...
Oh yea'. If you get really steamed, step away and come back in 5 minute's.. Think about your breath or something to cool off.

Well actually, I do read all of your posts. (don't feel special, I'm enough of a loser to read just about all the posts on this board...) Some of them are interesting and funny, but a lot of them simply don't invite response - what can I contribute to a thread called "@andi an motor?" or "Well I had it coming" (don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with you making those threads, but don't get insulted when people don't respond to threads that you can't really respond to.) I did respond to the "What qualifiys a geek?" thread and I was probably one of the few people who found the "how cool am I" poll funny (although seriously, what am I supposed to write in response?)

Sir, I would most without further respectfuly adue (yea' something knightly) would like to inform you that your a different kind. Your TOSing is intelligent. I dont think it's to be taken seriously either.
The only thing I dont agree with about your unpersonal/intellegent TOS's is the out of placeness and direction it take's conversation's.
All in all, I had a hard time putting you into the 3, well, no I didn't. LoL

You're making threads about a one specific thought. This is actually a thread that is one of your better ones. It actually makes a point. Even though it's Hexa's point.
Now I this is a good thread to make, because it reminds everyone that we are being a bit bias towards your threads. Now, if your next thread is good, then everyone will be much less critical of your threads, so please make it good. If it's not an improvement then you're going to look really stupid.

It seems to me you have a disease we just refer to as "threadmaking diahorrea".
Try to clog it, have normal poo if you know what I mean, don't make one-liner threads all day long.
Reply to others threads (serious replies, not spamming), see if there's already a thread covering what you want to make a thread about, and when you decide to make a thread, make it about something, other than your current mood or who you don't like on this board.
Then everything will work out. Don't worry - be happy.

A reputation change's frequently. With everyword almost, there's a change in reputation. Howveer small, it's a change.
If you say "Hi" vs "I hate you" your rep changes eeither choice you make.

Well, all i can say is what I endevour to do. Bear with me, as i have an eye infection and can't really read the thread well but, reputations.....
When I first joined HC, I attempted to make posts and threads for a reason... sometimes on topic (I think everybody had a giggle at my comp problems) and sometimes off. Usually in the right forum as well lol.
I like humour. I found out (through other forums) I am acctually very good at creative flames. I use humour in everyday life quite a lot... at work or with my friends. So it's natural. I am dreadful at being serious.. I can never phrase things quite as well when I don't have my tounge firmly in my cheeck. . I am not sure what my reputation is... I know a while ago i was accused of sucking up for QPs which was interesting, which confused me, as I usually post with something I've talked about in a PM in mind, and take it from there.
I think first impressions mean a lot. I'd be a liar if I said they didn't. But yes, it is possible to change, if the real intent is there. i would use Wesley as an example, but he went rather off the rails in the end. But he did do one good thing. His public apology as "incubus". He originally assumed a confrontational stance, but then lost it and sought to reason (for a brief period).
Mix your reason with your passions, and build a new reputation.. you will have to try extra hard, but if you put as much positive energy into posting as you have negative, Dar, you will be HC's star poster before long
