$900 for Homm3 Automation...
I went out for dinner with my lady the other nite.
A wonderful meal with a bottle(or 2) of wine.
A very enjoyable evening, and in 3 hours I spent over $100.
Now consider that I prolly play Homm3 approx. 30-40 hours per week.(addicted or what )
Makes ya think, doesn't it.
I would be more than happy to contribute $100 towards the cost of automation for Homm3, considering I spend so much time playing the game I love.
Now I know for alot of ToH players $50 or $100 is alot of money, believe me I understand I was a struggling student once upon a time.
But to the Homm3 addicts that can afford it, if we all chip in what we can, $900 isn't that much to collect.
Then we can have full ToH automation for Homm3.
So there, I will put $100(maybe more) of the cost to start.
If there is positive feedback for this idea, then my money-order will be on it's way to Ves/Kitty/Raven.
Cmon you hardcore Toh'ers, think of how much time you will spend in the next year using this system.

i dont think its the money...thats just the explanation, if would have been the real reason it would have happened long ago.
or maybe its not the the money the server and so on costs, maybe its 3DO stocks, but thats another reason than.

nah j/k 100$ american is no problem for the hours and hours and most likely real time months I will spend playing Homm3.
And Andi, I don't think it was ever said that the money wwas an issue for toh.. ONly that the extra expense for a toh clone, was just not "interesting" shall we say. To Ves.. but it is to us.
THe 3do stock thingy.. supporting both h3 and h4 tournies would hurt 3do stocks? I think not

mmmmmm im not certain what your after here andi but i think its automating somthing if it is ladders or anything in c++ php or mysql i can program somthing up relativley quickily for free i operate autamated ladders on my sita nd have some developed touramnet software i never use if thats it...????

i can give 80.000.000 turkish lira (50$) but after that i cant eat to the end of the month 
lets ask troelsen to give money he jokes whole time with his loses on poker on zone .. he is tossing to players who lives in poor countries
splexx i think without toh(ves) , its impossible to get the same pleasure from heroes 3.. even automation couldnt save mah,hk,ww etc... players are addicted to use ferrari you cant force them to drive bicycle.
btw thanks for efforts my friend and dont spent your whole money with ladies , mate

if the fans actually paid the cost of cloning the site (forget the additional bandwidth, just the $900 to clone) i think hereos3 toh automation would be fine, no? But im not so sure ppl would actually pay except for a very small few? and is it fair to those small few then?

most of the costs could be covered by pop-up ads and banners. Ves doesn't have to run the site. Someone else can take it over. Wouldn't everyone feel like having a few pop-up ads instead of a few people paying hundreds of dollars?
Not everyone has to pay $50. If a bunch of people payed 5 or 10, that would be great.

I`m up too it too, 100$ is perfectly ok but is the money all that`s required? What is there to do with the automated system? Is volunteering needed to keep it up and running? Would anyone be able and up to managed the website?

if the automaiton is only 900 there is no reason for anyone to pay 100 by themselves, right ?
Dont tell me only 9 players are willing to pay a little money to get the automation u all love.
frankly me myself i dont care about rankings and i would play this game even if there was no tournement supporting homm3 with rankings etc, but i am willing to chip in and pay just to c u all happy.. and more importantly to keep u all on zone where i want ya

Good idea
First I was thinking about making it ourselves, but I rather pay then spend many and many hours without guarantee of success. I will donate $50 and are willing to volunteer in administrating the site, I'm on work about 32 hrs on internet and the rest at home, so plenty of time. Also my profession is webdeveloper so that also helps

i too agree that 100 per player is rather lots considering there will be more than 9 players playing
i hoever think that if those who can scrape up some loose change and hand it forward it would be more than enough.
whether that be $5,$10,$50,or $100.....

How about a payed membership (5$). We will know how much money we have because we know the numer of the members. Hope it doesn't sound like a porn site but it looks like a good idea to me. If we have to much money we can report it to the next year .

OK, so far we have pledges totalling $425.00.
And with Archie & Madmartigan willing to chip in also.
So, we are already more than half way there
Now with a few thousand Homm3 players and prolly about 150 Hardcore addicts, it shouldn't be difficult to get the remaining $400.
$50-$100 was just #'s off the top of my head. If u can only spare $10 or $20 thats great,,,every little bit helps.

BUT, the sooner we get the pledges for the full amount, and get it sent to ToH, the faster we can begin gaming and not have to worry or wonder when H4 will take over
Imagine an entire full season of Homm3 without giving a crap what 3doh does or doesn't do!!
It would be my pleasure to handle emailing all pledges with the proper info to send to ToH, and tracking when and how they are sent to avoid confusion.

thats no flame - thats a fact . toh wont be as it used to be. and u should accept it. i played hundrets of toh games. countless hours of fun and enjoyment but even me - a hardcore addict as addicted as can be - had to accept that these times are over now.

COme on Motor It's just a game we should have fun & TOH is over but there are other tournies.
It's only a fun game who cares where you play it if it's in Myths or no tourny at all as long as it is fun.
I for one played my last game with Mocara like 3 weeks ago I tired of players not having fun because of thy competetive attitude that ranking is all they care about & all they want to increase thier rank & will do anythang to do it say Multiple accounts to saying you cheat so they can have a good score & talk down to people like Vincent who earned thier right to be on top.
All I am saying is have fun.
I am poor & only get to keep so much after my family & my new house but I can probally DOnate somethang I care & want thy best for Mandi & Ves dreams then to put it down over a game thats supposed to be fun.
Tell me this what is better playing one of your best friends & whoever wins then all was fun no reports or nothing or would you play someone you only played once or twice a hardcore match for a ranking say you win you up a rank but thy game was not as fun because it was taking too serious.
WHat would you rather have?
I dont have hardly any money but would love to help I love helping people even if I cant afford it just tell me where to send thy money LOL yes no?
