I have an idea for refreshing the challenge and excitement of H3, but it has been mentioned a time or 2 in the past and nobody liked it. The H3 map editor has the ability to set differing victory and loss conditions. I think good maps could be made that used these, give players more choices, more strategy. No, I have never actually been able to complete a map with the editor, but I have many times tweaked maps I have and in some cases changed the victory conditions. (I can make playable maps, but I get disgusted at how stinking UGLY they are) Of course, I also have the problem of not ever being able to get 3 or 5 hours straight to play a game, so I have not had to make the choice of whether to play H3 or H4 yet, and for sure not enough to play both.
If you think different objectives won't work, please say why instead of just trashing the idea. 
Maybe I won't bring it up again that way

heroes 3 is dead
Lets face it heroes 3 is dead and nothing will bring it back to its glory days. Lords will not because you dont have a high enough activity level and too many people will not like the maps, last time lords was up really the only 3 truely active players were cindy J,salpinx, and frank.TOH has lost too many good players over the years to keep peoples interest,there used to be a time when we had over 100 people over the rank of captain.Much of this had to do with the loss of our russian and romanian buddies.... And also about all this fighting, my god you people are pothetic arguing over a video game when your over 25 years old. Yes I must admit I did get in arguements years ago but im a teenager its expected. Now all you goofballs who still play heores 3 on TOH give it up it is waisting your time, stop bashing heroes 4 and give it a chance because I know when you all first played heroes 4 you came into it with the mindset that "nothing will beat heroes3" therefor it takes the fun out of the game from the begining

shut the snow up lol - heroes is a hobby/sport for us and people love to fight argue and discuss about hobbys /favourite sports if u don't like that go away. heated discussions have allways been a part of competition

We dont need your hero 3 bashing & if you really want to flame heroes 3.
The go to the horeos 4 room of lands of axeoth & flame it there because we dont give a flying bloop what you think anymore .
