Wow.
I didn't think my post was funny and it wasn't meant to be. Rather than responding to my post, Kitten chose to attack it's location. I was pointing out how silly that is by attacking her grammar rather than her post itself. It wasn't funny. I would never try to make jokes on a message board. That's off topic and spam.

Bort has brought up some views of his and made some suggestions. I agree with him and am eager to see your reply to it. I've seen some of your replies but still am not sure if you agree or to what extend disagree with what he said.

i fear you wasting your time here kitten...theres only some spammers left, prolly most 14 years old.
The good posters like Djive left to a other part of the board long ago and left is a bunch of crap talkers that spam to get their stars...and a few tossers that try to make them leave

Now as for Kitten my love a truce a truce is what you shall have far be from me to make the board untidy it offends the Andy godz sensibilities and we dun wanna do dat does we.
In all seriousness I understand the Moderating a forum this size with the range of ppl that come here is no easy task.
However attempting to quash every percieved potential breach of the CoC will maybe clean up the board by eventually driving people away. Now that as always will suit a minority of the community who want things to reamain as they see fit.. However an experienced moderator task in to MODERATE in other words look for excessive breach of conduct but not to lecture In fact really the Lectures should come from the Admins Moderators are the half way house both representing the user and and the forum
Its easy if it is not a clear vindictive or in otherwise breach of the CoC then leave it to see how it develops
If the original thread starter is not opposed to the diversion of the thread into another direction then neither should you be.
Moderators play the pivitol role in the life of a forum a poor Mod will crush a forum dead a good Mod will enhance it
The primary difficulty in the board as i have repeated before is it is to narrow there is no where for ppl to post one liners and off the cuff comments about daily crap.
Not every post needs be a potential prize winner some are for letting off steam some just to spam so guess what suprise surprise no one dies
Basically if the ppl involved are not getting concerned then the bottom line is leave it the old axiom applies if you dont like the program dont watch.
Yes yes i know it also applies to coming to the site but at the end of the day the best boards are those that provide a diversity of interest, experience and variety

I miss the naked girls thread... and all that.
I think people forget the true meaning of the tavern and it's ethos... in certain threads it's okay to spam and have fun. It's the "have some ale and tell us your story" section. While tossing a thread is daft, spamming in spam threads, like "naked girls..." and "new shop..." well, that's what we were made for.
The tavern is the antithesis to the "serious" forums, which I rarely post in as I am enthusiastic but bad at playing. C'est la vie. Some of my favourite threads posted by myself would be... unlikely to surivive now... such as "HoMM4.. it's impact on the fashion world" and the "I love the 1980's" one.
We don't all have to be deathly dull with poker faces... the tavern is meant to have a clear mix of threads. And without laughter and socialisation, argues Vigotsky, children can be damaged. Well, if the can be damaged, I'm sure we can to.
