Your favorite animal
A friend of mine asked me this question several years ago and what came of it floored me.
Give me your favorite animal and at least 3 reasons why it is your favorite animal.
When enough members answer I'll explain what it means.
Note: mythical and fantasy creatures are discouraged.

Cats.
1- they are small
2- i like to pet them
3- they are good for stress
4- Cats and humans develop bonds
5- Cats are just like any house pet they are nice
6- and look to the master with trust
edit more reasons
7- They can say **** you to the master, and still be respected
8- Every cat is more different than normal people know
9- Each cat is unique to its owner
10- I never forgot a cats name that I owned
11- They can fight your hand, and scratch it all to hell just for fun
12- Some (like mine ) will play with people around the house like hunters and prey.
i can think of more, all cat owners can.

as you can tell i like kittens!
1 because they are so dang cute
2 because they love you no matter what
3 because you can complain to em and they don't talk back
4 because they like to cuddle with you and not want more!

animals I like : too many to mention
edit: oh yeah I almost forgot I have "becommen" to strongly dislike mooses aswell

whats wrong with mooses? Are they obnoxious, and seem like they alway's say &*$% you?

Okay, they may seem a strange choice. But I've always liked manta rays and have liked stingrays ever since I got to pet some at Sea World. They're very soft, they're cute and rippley when they swim, and they suck up fish like a little vacuum cleaner. If you have food, they are actually quite friendly. Just don't step on them.
Spiders are bad. Centipedes are worse.

Well I like many animals, and certainly most have their own good qualities. However, one that stands out in particular which I like is the hummingbird.
It isn't the prettiest creature of the bunch, but it is tireless in its dedication, with a constant, enduring hope for the future. Also, they are delightful creatures, that are sometimes symbolic of joy love, and happiness.
