Tourements
How about a Hero tourement or maybe some other. i mean clans is pretty active for Wars only. i think another tourment be good + the hero games will be fast with 1 hero. it think.

1 hero -its dificult to make it
and
that would be barbar tourney
addicts, speed deamon -thats simple
but I dont like them too .tourney's for madman bob 
Might vs Magic- I like it , but
Its madmans too
so u would love to see a tourney where poeps could win it
playing few games a week
but I realy do not think its posible

my 2 cents...
the hero would be a GREAT tourney under these guidlines...
1) no barbarian
2) random town
3) no taverns acessible
4) the starting hero could be a mage or a fighter of some sort
I would love this....albeit I think i would like speed demon better and I would think the H4 junkies(myself included here) would be really hip on 1 min turns think of a h4 game played in 1 1/2 hrs ... i have done it and completed most everything with one min.

1 Min turns wouldnt even let me go in and out of a castle. I couldnt do anything much less everything

well, unless super-closed map i usually have 8 armies on map... 2 armies that actually do stuff, and 6 that are scouts. On 1 min it would be impossible to do anything close to that. In h4 you cant chain creatures but you can chain artys... if my rogue on this side of the map finds a ring of health, he will want to get it to my main hero on other side of map

The only thing I hate about the Tournaments is that the only way to win is to play so many games every week. I only get to put in 2-4 games a week if I am lucky....and those aren't all toh games.
Also with the chaining thing i hate how your whole army only moves as fast as your slowest creature. They maybe should have made it like 3 where Logistics and Pathfinding are both available.

I think to do this you must use some sort of formula.
I think it should be the best winning % wins, or the top few people go to a small 4-8 player playoff. But of course, it wouldnt JUST be winning %. There would be a minimum amount of games played (which would be a fair amount, but few enough that someone who plays a few games a week can still play the minimum or more). Of course if you are below the minimum amount games, you are ineligible to win/go to playoffs.
But also, there would be a protection against people just playing all newbies to have a higher win %. The winning percentage would be multiplied by the average opponents rating/100. So for instance, if you won 3/4 of your games, you would have .750 win percentage. Then if average rating of people you played was 1300, then it would be .750 x 13 = 9.75 final score.
It is divided by 100 because obviously if you did .750 x 1300 everyone would go for high-ass average rating of opp. due to it being skewed. If you divided by 1000 the avg. rating of opp. would be too insignificant, so I chose 100.
Tell me what you think of this and if you think it needs modifications.

too much philosophizing here.
You guys dont even know the hero format yet lol. All I can say it would be more 'castualty of war' format. Some of you vets know what that is, and it will be an exciting tournament that is not addict based. It will however, require some serious manpower to support.
But more on that in mid january.

my 2 cents...
i have been tossing around in my head an idea...
I think that if we had a "hero" tourney set up with only one of each type of hero available for that town (barbs only get 1 hero) would be a lot of fun. This way we could see a lot of differing varieties of play. Random town would be a must here.
Well its a start of an idea.
