..well i feared that this might turn out into a Irak war discussion. But as online discussions are often heatet i just wanted to note some things for u.
Actually the things u stated really shows the problem if someone wants to argue about the upcoming war USA will do against the Irak, cause:
American people feel attacked and disliked if u critizice the war. IM AGAINST THE WAR AND NOT AGAINST THE USA. I hope u get this point as it is written in big letters. Please dont let me repeat that again.
As i live in Europe there is really no need to be jealous or somthing about anything. So keep this blah out of discussion.
Also the point that i know nothing USA might be true (surely isnt), but as i want to talk about war it has NOTHING to do with it, wether i know u or the people who live in the country. If it is an argument (in your eyes it seems it is) then i can turn it very easily against U:
Cause u really dont have any clue about the people in iraq..the way they live, feel and think. The only info u get is from your TV, which is unfortunately very very one sided in this matter. Otherwise i cant understand words like "yeah bomb them all out" and stuff.
I just want to tell u that this war will have many victims with dead children, women and fathers. And as u dont have war in your own country (be happy about it) u dont know how war really is. So in future u better think about what u say.
Well there would be tons more things to say, which consiquenzes the unholy war can have for all of us...but as it is already decided that there will be war in february and nobody is doin anything against it, its useless to discuss about it in here.
Hope CNN will bring u some cool action scenes.

Ok people, you need to learn what the definition of a cheat is...
Based on what most of you are saying, that the "empty hero" bug is not cheating, well, on that assumption, then using a no-recoil script in Counter-Strike so you can fire your weapon unloading and not lose your aim is not cheating....
Using wallhacks is not cheating cause the programmers didnt code the game good enough, and you are only taking advantage of a "bug" in the code.
Using "unlock" codes for various additional units/gold/resources is not cheating because the developers put them in the game, doesnt matter that they are called "Cheat" codes.
Usint trainers is not cheating because they too, take advantage of "bugs" in the game code, allowing you to gain an advantage
To define: Cheating is the act of gaining an advantage that your opponent cannot or will not reasonably have. For example:
Using cheat programs gives you an advantage that your opponent will most likely not have.
Using the empty hero bug gives you an advantage that your opponent will most likely not have.
Using the town view bug gives you an advantage that your opponent will most likely not have.
Using trainers in the game gives you an advantage that your opponent will most likely not have.
Using cheat codes in the game gives you an advantage that your opponent will most likely not have.
Also, certain BUGS do not have to be listed as cheats, because they are, by DEFINITION, considered cheats.
Once again, ANYTHING that gives you an advantage that does not come through normal playing of the game, such as HEROES NOT HAVING A UNIT, or VIEWING A TOWN YOU DONT OWN, is a cheat. BUG OR NOT.
This is the same way in ANY game. I play alot of games, and I have yet to find a tournament where bugs are NOT considered cheats. Go look for yourself.
I used to run a HoMM2 tournament. We never stated what BUGS were cheats and what weren't. There was never a need to. BUGS are BUGS, not game options, so DONT CHEAT
I think I have stated my opinion in this matter. Feel free to flame/slam/whatever me. It wont change the facts.

Xarfax1, your information about Flamingo being booted is typical of players who think they know information about Flamingo, pure hearsay and woefully incorrect.
If you don't know something for a fact about why a player was booted then it is best to either ask or not state your ideas as fact. You were wrong and hopefully you didn't screw up alot of other people's opinions and understanding spreading rumors.

Trash talker? Guess you must be upset if you must start calling names. Either splexx misquoted you in his post or again you are incorrect Xarfax1.
If he was lying about what you had said about Flamingo, then I do appologize if I said something that was offensive to you in my incorrectness or in any way hurt your reputation.
It is never a good idea to assume that someone is accurate in what they say and I made the mistake of doing that in regards to splexx's post when he said, Quote:

Btw....I was merely using your situation as true of most people at the zone that make comments about Flamingo and took the opportunity to make this evident. They are usually full of hearsay and woefully incorrect, as would be your comments if splexx quoted you correctly.

Well if it was no lie then my original statement about the false reason (ghost hero use) for Flamingo being booted would have to stand.
There is no need to defend Flamingo, nor was I attempting to.
Rather, it is the hope that people will be more diligent about contolling their tongue so as not to spout off their thoughts as known facts or repeat things that they hear and do not verify as being true. This is confusing to players and detrimental to our community, and that is what I hope to discourage.

I read this thread from the begining and everybody is talking about this but no one explains what theese thing are and how they really work?Are theese present in zone games even now?Are they considered cheats?can someone explain?
