ryland is allways better on almost any map. simply becasue he is a might hro and adela a magic bit**  in 90% of all games a might hero has an advantage.
also ryland has allrdy leadership a quite usefull skill combined with diplo.
IF a diplo tourney would ever take place the only fair way to make it happen is when a 3rd party host edites a scholar with diplo in front of starting town IMO.
but wait...we allrdy have had diplo tourney ...it was called BATTLEFEST

Thats totaly different and u know it.
I have won more games in diplo wars with Adela then with Ryland sofar. So don't tell me ryland prevails 90% of the time.

nope it is that way. ryland is 50 times batter than adela. of course i its possible to win 20 out of 20 with adela vs ryland...all depends on who you play..  but i was not talking about vet vs noob games. i was talking about a game with 2 equally skilled players. and of course rylnad has a huge advantage here. ( on a balanced map of course).

agreed.
Becuz, angels are fairly easier to build compared to greens. Castle gets angels+castle week2, but rampart gets greens more likely in week3. gathering 50 ores and 34 crystals is not easy.

Ryland as Main compared to Adela or Cyra in a Diplo War is like talking about if Hack is better or Yog and Shiva...
What does Magic count in a Fight that big as in a Diplo War? Usually nothing, while Might, Mass Spells and Leadership are dominating.
Sure Cyras Mass haste for example can be nice, but it doesnt help if she cant counter offense, armorer and better might stats - same goes for adelas bless, there usually is no time for a bless or you get sloughtered by a Might Hero.

well actually I don't see why I should use Adela, Cyra or even Ryland as main anyways. All they need is exp diplo to get them creatures, another hero can be my main hero.
But then again, what do I know?

on random its same. adela and ryland on a "playable" random map (of course adela wins if she has 40 relics and ryland only the crown of magi ) with 2 equal skilled players and ryland will allways dominate. adela sucks big time compared to ryland. there is not even a single doubt that he is the better hero. diplo = big armys . the bigger the armys the bettr is a might hero.

im with the german tossers on this one, magic doesnt mean much in diplo games since only spells to be used are prayer/berserk...usually no dmg spells.
And therefor might will have an advantage since they develop the better skills, but the best idea ive seen so far would be to have 3rd party host with a box or a scholar giving out diplo skill.
Personally i dont think this is the best of tournament ideas... i rather see:
*Tacticians Corner (really fun tourney, which doesnt consume much time)
*Footman tourney (to raise the activity)
*Divisions (best tourney there ever was )
so there.

stiven why would you join a division some division wars make random towns and set maps you dont do either so what would you do just forfite?

ok, after spending 5minutes trying to decode that secret message of yours attila.. you wonderd why i wanted to join divisions since i "wont" play random towns or set maps?
Well first of all i wouldnt be able to join a division now since i still got that firewall.
2nd, i can play random towns and i would gladly make that "sacrifise" if my division commander would say so.
3rd. No i dont prefer playing set maps, and i would prolly look for a random division if i will be able to play but if that division get a set map war every now and then off course i would do my best to help out my division.
Prefer some choices when just playing 1v1 is one thing, but that doesnt mean that i wouldnt give 100% to help my division now does it?
teamplay is important, [commercial]and so will it be in the new 2v2 random template ill be start working on soon  [/commercial]
oh and one thing more, if one thing really is to get this season going i think it would be divisions or a bracketed 1v1 tourney.

'Over and out' is a serious breach of proper radio protocol.
'Over' signifies that you have made your statement and now await a response.
'Out' means that you are now terminating the transmission.
When you say 'over and out' you're telling the person that you're talking to that you want them to respond to you and you're ending the conversation all in the same breath. Basically, this translates to 'Talk to the hand, coz the face ain't listening'.
If you screw up like this again, I'll have you doing pushups until I get tired.

Tournament Update
Go to the new "Upcoming Tournaments" Page and have a look and let us know what you think. We are looking at maybe one single player and one team based tourney to open soon. These are not your ONLY choices, they are just the ones that work has already been done on and are therefore probably the QUICKEST choices. But we will take any constructive suggestions

back on diplo
Have to agree wif the 'Lothars' here Hexa, Ryland is better than Adela and Cyra. In any big fight might always has a huge advantage. I can understand u like a migic hero for the early fights, but since ur not a fast attacker, I would play might heroes if I were u anyway
For the tourney:
It should be easy to edit the map a little to have a scholar in front of town giving diplo.
Might as well call the tourney "Hack vs Gundula" then, but ok
The necro-tourney still sounds good to me also: "Battle of the skels"

yes I know he (Ryland) has a advantage Kuma.
But since I know no way of editing a pan box that gives diplo in a radnom map .. Ryland vs Adela is the only option for diplo wars I think (since Tower is out of the picture unless its XL with under).
And I don't like magic heroes anymore then u huys do.
But I do like diplo wars. SO what is a guy to do huh?

Wrong.
Get a 3rd party host or have a rndm map storage with generated maps in map editor with edited in scholars/box.
Doesnt have to be any harder than that...so lets bring along that "Hack vs Gundula" war
