whats the point in collecting L7s or Wyvern without having to build them? makes a dragon or devil building in town for example useless often,you should have to WORK for your L7s and maximum speed on map - thats no HOMM running with a units that kill everything and cost u nothing...
As for taking them out, of course you can take out 50 griffs if u lucky, but dont listen to sir_noob - seldom you can take out a Cons day 1, or do you pick shakti and galthran every game? Nope? Ok than show me how you kill 50 grifs that surround you day1, im curious...
From throng on: you want mass spells, you want 1 killer stack, you want strong shooters maybe cornered, zzzzz who needs a tactic for that?

Still don't think I got any real answers to my question. How possible is it for me to take out a con on day 8, playing rampart, with no chance of getting a hero past level 2, no followers, and no nests, or anything. Is it feasible to take it out with my base army alone on day 8, or do I need some clever strategy. A blind strategy? Archies strategy explained in this forum used with hives? ( I would love it if you could provide pics!). When I said 130 difficulty, I meant the settings, not the number of griffins. I am still talking 150 griffins. Help an average player become better!!

Hmm Cbanken if u are only level 2 in day 8 then u must have some more problems then just the conservatories.
It can mean a few things.
* U lost all killing some huge stack in week one that was blocking us (might want to consider a restart).
* U played on 200% and your starting army and area was really bad.
* Or u need tp pratice some more.
But to get back to the original Q.
On day 8 or week one it is possible to take out a small conservatorie 50-100 griffs. Just get your new army to your main and follow th tactics outlined by Archie earlier.
Most people wait somehwat lonbge rthough when they see throng of grifs guaring the con. Or u can take a peepk with a scout and waste 2,500 Gold that way!@
