the perserve

does any one think they should take out the faire dragon and the Pheonix?

i feel that they really don't belong there.
put them in a conflux town.

I have the levels 1-5 creatures but i post them after i get done with 4th period.
need level 6 creatures the new name is the forest.

More fantasy, less discovery animals.

WOlves and tigers are just animals..

Dryads, Forest Dragons, Leshies(Leshy) and Treants should be cool for this, aswel as Unicorns and pixies.

No
Animals(Such as Tigers and wolves)
No elementals
No Mantis(That's a predator that likes to eat other creatures, not fight on their side.
No Phoenix(Those burn away the whole forest)
No Satyr(Those have a tent to evil.)

Of course they're welcome in the preserve.

At least they're far cooler than the old, dull Gold drags!

I think Tigers should remain in preserve but with a more fantasy look (with three heads for example)

About humans 3do should remove the squires (we can have gnolls instead with maces and the confusion ability) and the peasants (we don't play age of empires)

Pirates, Pikeman and Crusaders should go aswel.

Wererats, Rook and Paladins should return instead

last time I checked....

Preserve was a Nature town... this means tigers and wolves have every right to be there ...as do all the rest...

that said, I do think they should change the roster a bit...

leprechauns should be kicked out (of the game) ...sure, they look ...green... but that is hardly enough to save them...

satyrs are known to have an extra cup or two at a time but I would hardly call that a tendency to evil... a change of looks is always welcomed of course....

same goes for them Elves... I never I would ever say that but Elves suck big time... if these are Sylvan Elves, I'm a half-orc archmage... change their looks and we have a deal...

wolves and tigers should only be summonable creatures, not recruitable... (not even through the portal)

talking about summonable units, those elementals need a face-lift...

phoenix and faerie drag are where they should... 'nuff said

return the unicorns to their former glory and bring back the Dendroids (Treants, Ent, Huorn or "those walking trees") maybe even the Pegasi

...good thing they will have to make new models for every unit in the game anyway

preserve sux, get rid of it at all no...offcourse it`s ok to have another weak town... sprites are OK..just die too fast. wolves: the same. white tigers are just average fighters and elves can`t shoot that well. the rest is all just average...no good magic and stuff.
then haven: sux 2! they have no good lv3 creatures. crusader has only 65 hp! and because you hit at the same time, he`s dead if he only tries to strike for the second time. monks have 55(?)hp. even less...AND they can`t shoot that well..
so forget haven, take chaos, order, necr or might! in that order.

NO way man the fairy dragon and the pheonix must stay they are so incredible as creatures besides if you remove the fairy dragon there will be no magical dragons in the game anymore and i don't agree with that, the phoenix is a wonderful creature that exists in all series of homm why would you delete it?

From this message that you wrote now, i knew that you have very little experience in necromancers : first of all, you're not right about not getting vamps when you choose venoms .
You can have both actually because of the "GRANDMASTER NECROMANCY SKILL" which allows your hero to get vampires from each battle he wins, so in the castle you hire the venoms and the vamprires you get them for free from battles.
On the other hand, your lousy chaos spell (confusion and terror) can affect only the living and not the DEAD !!!
And all of this without even speaking about the undead magic for example you have the "vampiric touch" which can be cast on the bone dragon or on the devil to steal life just like the vampires do, so this way you will have an army full of blood suckers.Try it out and see if i'm wrong.

update just like havens up date

lv1 sprite and leprican

lv2 rogue and wolf

lv3 white tiger and satyr

lv4 elf (shooter) and battle elf

lv5 dendriod and unicorn

lv6 sharpshooter and all the elements in one i could not think of a name for this creature.

lv7 faire dragon and the pheonix

satyr same as homm4, battle elf rogues from homm2 but stronger faster and better defence, element thing emune to all harmful magic,attacks multiple hexes,no enemey retaliation and cast spells, lv7 creatures only stayed because i couldnt think of anything else to put.

Note: The more Pegasus fight the more of them transform into Hades Pegasus.

Griffin (Only sommunable, can't be recruited)

level 5

Forest Imps

Note: Both fEaries and Forest Imps are the only creatures that can sommun Griffin.

level 6

Unicorn
Nightmare
Fearimare

level 7

Phoenix or Feari Dragon or Crystal Dragon

That type of discussion is for Lands of Axeoth and there should already be a couple of threads that deals with Vampire generation (and similar issues) there. Here is my idea for a Heroes V Preserve (or Rampart, if you want to call it).

Level 1
Boar and Sprite

Sprites have no enemy retalitaion and positive luck while Boars have first strike and negate first strike (I think the boar is a better fit than the wolf for this town, the wolf is more of a Stronghold creature)

Level 2
Elf and Tiger

Elves have two shots and ranged first strike while tigers have two attacks instead of first strike.

Level 3
Pegasus and Waspwort

Pegasus have magic dampener and fly while Waspworts have no ranged penalty and weakness

Level 4
Unicorn and Dendroid

Unicorns are now spellcasters and cast Blind, Fire Bolt, Anti-Magic, Mass Bless and Wasp Swarm while Dendroids have Binding attack, toughness and 75% magic resistance

Level 5
Fairy Dragon and Phoenix

Fairy Dragons cast spells (same as for H4 bar fireball replaced by Inferno) while Phoenixes have first strike, breath attack and rebirth

Portal Of Summoning
Provides the 4 elementals as well as gargantuans and mantises and can be connected to external dwellings as well.

Sprite: flyer, no enemy retaliation
Centaur: jousting bonus, long distance melee attack

level 2

Elf: ranged attack, double shot
Boar: aggression*

level 3

Pegasus: flyer, immunity towards hostile spells
Dryad: spellcaster (beneficial), hide**

level 4

Dendroid: bind, entangle***, absorb water-based spells****
Druid: ranged attack, copycat°

level 5

Unicorn: blind, anti-magic aura°°, 50% magic resistance
Mantis: flyer, first strike, Hard Body shell°°°

level 6

Phoenix: flyer, rebirth, breath attack, fire based
Fairy dragon: flyer, spellcaster (offensive), magic mirror


explanation of abilities:

* After each succesive attack on the same enemy in succesive rounds, the boar will 'cause +25% damage. (amount of damage must be calculated on the base damage, so the third attack in the third round will do +50% damage. e.g first round: boar does 500pt. damage, next round: 625pt. and the next round 750pt., etc...) The chain of increasement is broken when the boar couldn't attack the enemy during the next turn.

** The dryad can hide herself for three turns, making herself invulnerable. She cannot longer move, but is still allowed to cast her beneficial spells. When the dryad is the last creature alive she must reappear.

*** The dendroid can entangle an enemy with summoned roots from a considerable distance, unlike bind, it doesn't stop the enemy, but it slows him down considerably. He can entangle only one enemy/turn. So consider it as a more powerful slow spell. The dendroid may still move.

**** The dendroid, as a living tree, needs water to grow. When a water-based spell (being it hostile or friendly)is cast on the dendroid, he will regain all his health.

° The druid has a 30% chance of copying whatever spell the enemy casts.

°° All creatures within a certain area around the unicorn gain 30% magic immunity.

°°° The mantis has a 50% chance that all ranged attacks on him miss, due to his hard pantzer.
