my little contribution

I think what happens when stealth hero's on the way of your army is that arrowed path shows strait thru it, but on the map your army would actually go around it, as if it's unpasseble area. You may not see it, becouse army movement is probably set on max. So the way to find stealth hero is to send your scouts in the area, and if you see them going around empty hex, that's where the guy is. Or if stealth guy is , let's say, on the road between the rocks and there's no way around, then your army will find him, when you try to go thru.

Valkyrica, Trust me.  Stealth will be my specialty now!!! I wont get burned by the same flaw twice.

And I wouldnt concider myself rebellious. Infact that was the impression I got of you from talking to you in GS lol  =0)

Actually I tend to be a person that bases everything on fact.  If it is written that the sky is blue.  Then I expect the sky to be Blue.  Not BlueGreenGreyish.  If it is written that Grand Master Archery makes your Hero shoot twice, I expect my hero to shoot twice. etc. So naturally when the stealth description said NOONE could see me UNLESS they had Master scouting and adjacent, I based my game play on that.

I am just glad that 3do is not in charge of our Judicial system or making of our LAWS.

I can just see it now. Law #4563 = NO stealing a car. ( Unless the car happens to be in your way, then by all means take it.)

lol. =0)

When doesn't he/she?

You're really, really placing too much emphasis on the in game description. Everything, including laws for the large part, is subject to common sense. Anyway if we want to be legalistic about the reading of the in-game description, then it says that the the hero can't be seen without master scouting, it says nothing about being attacked or walked into. Like I said there is nothing wrong with the in-game description, only your overly simplistic and unreal interpretation of it.

LOL phycobabble... first of all I have come to understand how it infact works in game now, so I am at peace with it, however, I still stand by my opinion that the descriptions should do as they say.  Common sense isnt so common so it should be required to translate what the game company intended.

When I made statement that I expected GM Archery to shoot twice always and you said, when doesnt it?  Well thats the point. It always does what the description says. Very plain and simple.

When was the last time in a game you seen GM nobility NOT give your town +50% growth?  Or when has GM Nobility ever given you more than 50% growth?

and also there should be NO way for 2 heroes to occupy same space. If I am invisible becasue of GM stealth you shouldnt beable to see me NOR step on same hex. Basically the game should not let you click on that square, as if there was a rock there or something. Then once you get Master scouting then poof I show up.

That is just how I understood the description.  As I said I understand now how it works, so I will play based on that now. But was just frustrated to spend 10+ hours basing a strategy in my game only to find out 1+1 = 4

ArchDevil, I disagree with you.  THat is how you learn the game is by reading the descriptions and reading the manuel... Let me ask you this... WHY even bother wasting time putting the descriptions if they arent gonna be accuarate?  I dont mind trial and error to learn the game... However, I would much rather there be NO book and no descriptions that lead you to believe one thing.

Archie, do you play Heroes 4?  I see a lot of opinions lately from you, so I am assuming you are activly playing H4 in TOH, correct? =0)

if you really want to get technical with reality here

A hero, in a square, would be a hero, in a land say, the size of a small city.  So there would be no reason to go around the hero, or find it.

But this is a game guys, and if you could go around a stealth hero, then he would be untouchable, right?  Kind of invincible hero which you cannot attack.  Kind of a bad idea.  Oh, and those bandits guarding mines would be useless too, since you could go through them again.

Anyways, really guys stop philosophising.  At least on this aspect of the game, the homm4 team did the right thing.
