how new system works?
Today is deadline for both new MapMaster round 1 games. I think it would be interesting for ppl to know, whether new "stick" system of possible penalties for not playing games work.
Motor, can u say, how many of 12 round one games in both tourney have been played and how many - no?
If the number of played games will be big enough, i think that would encourage other players to participate in next tourneys.

OK
Me and Grendal finished our game on friday night and the BB bracket still shows no update..i think it shows one other game to be finished too.
Hope the coordinators post new matchups today as promised. But all in all participation or at least completion percentage seems high.

those results would be pretty interesting, because many players didn't participate in tourneys only of fear to get no-real-play rounds.
If we can show statistics that almost all scheduled games are played, this would be the best advertising for next tourneys.
And MM should have long life!

Just one question about random templates MM tourney - if players cant agree what size of map play, which one they should choose?

I'll try to remember this
I had never really thought of posting the percentages here on the board. I will try to remember that in the future. I must apologize for any type of delays that have been experienced. They are pretty much solely my fault. I have been extremely busy lately so my computer time has been somewhat limited. Take for example when Motor drew the matchups. When I was online and into my mail he had sent me an email telling me he was going to do a live draw, which I thought was great and I enjoyed doing them in the past myself. BUT, my time online ran out before he got me the list SO although all of you knew the matchups because you were there, I didn't. Then I had to do that thing called work and mothering and didn't get online time for a day. That is why it took me a little bit to get them posted. Sorry again.
As for what the actual completion ratios were, Blockbuster had all but one game completed for Round 1. Attila and J.Von Adler failed to complete their game, or communicate with either of the MM administrators prior to the deadline as per the rules, so both were penalized and are out. We decided to let someone that completed their round 1 game and lost have a chance at the slot (this has been posted on news for several days now) but only one player emailed me interested so he (Aculias) now has the slot.
New World had a little more difficulty, despite the smaller bracket. 1 game completed, 1 outright forfeit, 1 game where one of the parties communicated, and again 1 with no completion and no communication. For that slot the only player that was eligible was Bad_Boxa. He requested that his opponent move on again as he did not feel it was fair that he should get a second chance at the same player. It is my thought that had he been matched up against a new opponent he may have taken the opportunity but didn't feel it was fair under the circumstances. Thank you Boxa for your candid and very honorable response.
Hope this helps for understanding and I will try to do this in the future as I believe it is good to keep you guys posted!

thx Rav
Thx for info, Rav!
As for me was great to hear, that most of the games on BlockBuster tourney was played. I hope this will ensure more ppl (splexx, rychen and many more) to participate in the next random template tourney.
Only how about this question of map sizes on random template tourney - if i want to play L map, but opponent XL, which one we should play?
And as for some things that are late on toh message board - there is totaly nothing to be sorry. U and motor all in all are doing good job on mapmasters tourneys and i'm sure that this tourney will not die out!

well i strongly suggest one of the following possibilities.
1 - you and your opponent mail me or raven and we will make a random choice fo4r the map size you have to play
or 2 ( specially if you need a fast decision) - you and your opponent pick a numbr in a privat chat between 1-10.
and then u two ask a player who you both trust to say a number between 1-10 . whoevers numbr has been pick can pick map size. just a suggestion
