No there was actually a list of 4 or 5 tourney ideas and the top 2 were used. And Addicts was the top choice. Now Addicts is a bad thing LOL. But just come up with ideas set up the poll and let the Admins and helpers go from there.

What would it take to make motors the top person in TOH/MAH?
LMFAO, you got to be kidding me. This is just straight out funny. Why don't you just slap Kitten and Ravyn in the face while your at it? I hate too burst your bubble Steph, but Motor is not the HOMM3 God. Yes he has done a lot of great things for the tourney, however none of it could he have done alone. As Kuma said, this is what we are trying to get away from at the moment. And with comments like that you just make the situation worse. Think before you speak next time.
You know i usually like your posts chubby but now youre just being a hypocrite IMO.
Afterall it was you who posted earlier how bad TOH/MAH was run behind the scenes... blaming stuff as communication and such.
I have one comment in particular that i think of:
Quote:
Toh/Mah is f***ed up beyond belief behind the scenes, and until this gets fixed, nothing will turn this tourney around.
well chubbs, this is my idea of fixing it.
@Kitten: Obviously you are busy with other things in RL and such now... and even if motors becomes top man you will still be admin and have lots of control.
So i think you should ask yourself what you want the most:
Keeping TOH/MAH as "your baby" or leave the top responsibility to someone like motors who has more time on his hands and therefor will make the better job IMO and is more likely to get TOH/MAH a more active and better tournament again.
And i dont want this to be no fight topic, but i think this should be discussed... Because we are adults here and should be able to discuss this on an adult level.
Because we all want the same thing, this tourney to be as good as possible.

The tourney is good enough i think.
People don't come to zone because they see pink titles on toheroes site? omg !!!
This is it: a part of them went to heroes 4 and the other part became to old
So atract newbies is what we need to do
My humble opinion ..

about editing posts max, your login is case sensitive so if you wrote a post with login Maximus you cant edit it if logging in like maximus.
otherwise you should have a blue text string connected to your post saying "edit post".
EDIT (between "send email" and "quote reply" text)

Quote: All I want is that you pull that stick out of your arse and realize that you are not superior to anyone (just like anyone is not superior to you)
Then how come everytime something goes wrong everyone jumps and attacks kitten? When Raven and Motor ran a tourney and something went wrong they complained to Kitten and yelled at her eaven though Raven told them time and time again Kitten had nothing to do with it? You all stuck her there and now are mad because she is? Give me a break LOL. 2 Admins at 1st and now 3 and Kitten takes all the heat when something goes wrong. Has 1 person jumped Raven or Chubby because something went wrong? NOPE they jump Kitten. You all say she has a power trip but yet when something is wrong she gets the heat. Start complaining to the others and maybe the trip will end. Think about that next time you open your mouths.
I have no problem with her being the admin or the way she runs it. My problem is the way she does not run it. She wants "her baby" to grow up to be a good boy. But then does so little to care for it, and smacks all those who say "we are willing to help you to take care of your baby or it is going to die". Her answer is usually "I am the mother of it, mind your own ****ing business"

gangrail, i think youre missing many peoples point here.
The thing is that many tournies die out because of their bad treatment.
I can only speak for the two tournaments ive been a part of... the betting tournament was really fun IMO, motors kept the updates fast and it was kept interesting all the time.
As for the trivia competition i know that several players had complaints about the questions... but i thought they were ok. Sure they could have been better but also alot worse. And kitten&chubby did a good job almost all the time at being in zone asking questions... and also one trivia times were changed to suit europeans better which also was a good thing IMO.
So so far only good...then we had the finals.
And IMO the the way finals were handled were a disgrace to the way the tournament had been going so far.
We were 5 players to compete in finals of which 3 basically could play at any time and i think it was Vel and attila having some restrictions. And sure, setting up a time might have been hard but not that impossible.
Instead of having us players giving times or having 3-5 possible times for us to pick from there were 2 "set" times. The first one a couple of the 5 couldnt play and the next set time was put on the only day in 2 weeks which i couldnt play on (which i had pointed out earlier) so what happend was that we were given a "take it or leave it time".
Which ended up in 2/5 ppl competing in finals...Hexa and Veldarian (the winner). Myself i just got fed up with the treatment of it all and simply dissed the finals in protest.
As stated these are just my experiences from sub tournies @ TOH/MAH but from what ive heard from other players too many tournies die because of one reason or another which neccesarily shouldnt have had to happen if things were managed in a better way.
So no gangrail, i wouldnt say that the idea of a tournament is what makes the difference here... the difference is how it is managed.

well chubbs, this is my idea of fixing it.
First off, i wish to apologize for coming off the way I did. Am having problems with my service provider thats causing major problems with my email which put me in a bad mood that day. Sorry for flamming like that.
But there is still no reason to make motor the head of Mah. Everything we need to do as a team does not require this. Strictly rearranging the pecking order will put us right back to where we were, and the problems will continue. We need to focus on the stubborness of our coordinators at the moment. lol. All of admin are bullheaded stubborn bastages!!! lol. And thats what we are gonna fix first.

lol first off gangrail, stop try and put words in my mouth.
About the trivia finals, if things would have been handled better there would be no "that many emails and questions on the zone".
In reality it was this simple:
A) Ask the players which times they wont be able to play
B) Give maybe 5 suggestions based on these times when everyone can play. Then pick the one that seems best.
What happend now was that first there were silence... so we the players started to talk about this and i talked to kitten about it in zone. Then she did send us a time.
We said that time didnt work because of some people being busy then so we all wrote which times we were unavailble.
Then there were silence.
So we started to keep mailing eachother and work a time out.
Then kitten mailed us about the time which i couldnt play and which i had pointed out earlier.
While us the players had worked some times out but kitten was unavaible then and wouldnt let someone else have the finals.
Then there were silence for a long time again.
Then we got the take it or leave it time.
If this is managing a final good to you then gangrail, then so be it. But personally i do expect more.
And no, im not suprised that only 2 peeps showed up for finals.
And about the other part im not talking about deadlines here now, im talking about tournament managing in general..meaning:
* promoting them
* keep regular updates
* not changing rules all the time
and so on
all of this is neccesary to have good tournaments going and keeping them active.

Must be some sort of cruel and unusual punishment they inflict on people in Germany...forcing them into a Jon Bon Jovi concert...

Deadlines...stick to em
Quote: So what you are saying is basically once a deadline is set it is followed and that is it?
Is that some sort of a joke? Of course!..set a frickn deadline and stick too it. That's why mapmasters was so good..at least when it had decent participation. Nothing worse than extending deadlines.
And...if the majority players do not play there games in time...most usually have at least 2 weeks. then obvisouly there was not enough `player interest'..extending the deadline does nothing for that.
Quote: Ok will make sure that is the new ToH. Be there by the time specified or else.
Exactly!
