Students or Slaves.
U know i just dont get something. Are we at school to be students or slaves. I mean homework doesn't teach us anything it just wastes our time. And we have absolutley no say at prison i mean school. Theres 500 of us and 30 of them. I hqate homework more than u can possibly imagine. of course we all do. lets put a STOP TO HOMEWORK!.

but we need education... if only there was a way to change the system... no need to spend valuable hours learning useless details when we could use them to improve our way of thinking...
I take my uni as an example... we spend days memorizing stupid routines and commands we won't ever use, but nobody cares to teach us the "why?"

if you dont get education you become a slave to poverty... or the lottery 
if you do get education your a slave aswell to society or if your living off your parents you are their slave too.
Either way you think about you are a slave.
one way not be a slave is to study philosophy... but then again you will learn on many different levels why you are a slave to your own ambitions...

Well, in Poland everyone has to go to primary and some-other-kind-of-school-that-prolly-doesn't-exist-in-other-systems-and-will-remain-unnamed, and in those you have to do your homework too. You have to memorize tons of crap too.

You're a slave to school if you don't enjoy learning anything.
I myself think education really sux. There's not enough attention for the children and classes keep getting bigger and bigger and I have the feeling school has turned into a huge contest of who's popular and who's not.
I can only speak out of my own experience
Then we have the teachers who are all trying to be the cool ones and instead of teaching the kids something ,they join in the entire contest (or so it seems). I can't count how many times a teacher just was over-stresses because of kids picking on them!! I mean..what's it all coming to???
I think a good solution would be (partly) to start specialisation in an earlier stage. For instance if you're no good in languages , you concentrate on stuff that DOES interest you.
Accompaniment is also very important. Helping students decide and giving out as much information as possible.
Myself, I love learning new things. It's just what has your interest i guess

Most schools are there to mold you into a productive citizen of society. Few schools are about teaching you about life. Im lucky, because I learn on my own.

Would be nice. The teachers would at last get off me, as I am the best in English in my school, and I'm quite good at math/informatics .

What I don't like is the fact that yor university "owns" your research. This is fair enough, untill you consider 1) They don't cedit you for it and 2) YOU have to pay THEM not to credit you for it. Hmph.

school was fun... I have good memories from my school years... heck, even uni isn't that bad (in fact, it is even better  ) ...the teachers/professors are the ones that suck... them and their lackeys..
