|
*Kyrre's tale continues*
After the great flash, they all walked through the Vortex to the strange new land.
Kyrre was terrified, everywhere she looked were strange new creatures - nothing was familiar. Even the faces of her friends had changed somehow, she wondered then if she wouldn't have been better to stay and fall with Erathia.
One fateful day, she ran through the woods blindly she didnt really care where she ran to, but running always made her feel better. On most days, that is. Not this day.
She heard a loud snorting sound, and the unmistakable heavy scrape of large hooves against the ground. She stopped in terror and slowly looked around. When her eyes met the beast, he snorted again menacingly and lowered his head to aim his horn right at her. Kyrre was terrified, yet held firmly in place partially out of her fear - and also because she was so purely mesmorized by the beauty of the creature before her.
He was jet black except for the firey shock of hair that was his mane, and the tufts of fur that covered his hoofs. Flames seemed to dance from within these shocks of hair, and steam arose from him.
"So beautiful" Kyree gasped, almost inaudibly " But this must be a Nightmare"
At that, the creature rose kicking its great two front hooves in front of him, Kyree crossed her arms in front of her face, in a futile attempt at protection against the upcoming onslaught.
As she braced for the worst, there was a huge roaring cry from her left, and a load tearing sound as the Creature let out a horrifying whinney. Kyrre opened her eyes in time to watch the stag fall to the ground - a huge barbarian stading over it proudly, bloodied battle axe in hand.
"Right you are young elf, it was in fact a Nightmare. And you'd have helped yourself better to ready your bow than cover your face like a girl!"
"But I am a girl" Kyree said meekly, rather embarrased at her lack of courage.
The Barbarian looked at her again, then looked surprised "Well so you are! My name is Crag, Crag Hack -let me escort you back to where you're going"
Kyrre was stunned, Crag Hack! Why, he was famous!
"I..I don't really know where I am going, I was just... going" Kyrre answered.
With a great boomin laugh Hack replied "Then lets go there together!"
Kyrre was elated, she and Hack traveled the land together. hack told many tales of his adventures, and after a time Kyrre realized that she had fallen in love with him.
One day as they sat together atop a high hill enjoying a sunset together, Kyrre felt suddenly brave and leaned in to kiss him. Hack jumped up with a start
"whoaa there girly!" he said, stepping away from her.
Kyree was crushed, she always knew she was ugly.. but she hoped that Crag would see through it. She started to sniffle miserably and within a few seconds she was full on bawling in front of him
"Oh geez... now don't do tha..." Hack stammered, embarrassed. "Its jes..well. You can keep a secret ya?" he asked her cautiously.
Kyrre nodded and looked up at him curiously through teary eyes.
"Kyrre, I don't like girls.. you know?" he eyes her hopefully, but could see that she was still confused "Dammit, I like men Kyrre - hell I'd luv ya if you weren't a girl!"
Kyrre was stunned, big ol Crag hack? "But Crag! I am a man!" she exclaimed happily
Hack took another step away from her, eyeing the front of her robes nervously "You mean you have a... *ahem* you know...?"
"No no! Not anymore! I used to but..." Kyrre noticed that as she spoke, Hack was slowly inching farther away from her "Wait, Hack! It was a witches spell! I will find the witch and change back!"
Hack looked at her warily "If you can do tha.. well I'd be happy to have yeh back, but such a magic I don't think can be undone"
"Oh I'm sure it can! It has to! You wait right here!" Kyrre exclaimed joyfully as she ran off, faster perhaps than she had ever run before.
Finally out of breath, she found what she sought. The witches hut stood in a thicket with intertwining vines surrounding it. "Hello!" Kyrre cried out, her long hair blowing in the wind that suddenly picked up in the area
"Bah! Who's there? Begone with ya!" the old witch croaked
"Uhm, its me, Kyrre! I want to change back! I want to be a man again!" Kyree yelled back
"Chnage back? Change BACK?!? Are you mad! You've nothing left to offer me for such a spell... or have you then?" the old hag replied, opening the door a crack to let Kyrre know she could enter.
As Kyrre walked inside, it took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the dark "Why is there no light?" Kyrre asked, reaching for the tinderbox to light the oil lamp.
No sooner had she started to light it when she felt a stinging crack across the back of her hand, the old witch had smacked her quite soundly with her cane.
"No need for that, none at all. Leave it off" she cackled.
"But why? I mean, I can't even see you across this tiny room" Kyrre said
"You want to see me? you want to SEE me??!" The old witch screamed, "then fine, see!" as she said this she lit the lamp and Kyrre was met with a ghastly site. The witches face was blackened, her hair scorched completely away.
"You see!?! Are you happy?" she rasped angrily at Kyrre "I'm a monster now, was just too close when the great blades collided - its a wonder I am here at all" She added, shaking her head sadly at the memory.
"Oh, I'm so sorry.." Kyrre stuttered, unsure what else to say. She stroked her own long hair uncomfortable as the witch eyed her, stopping suddenly as the witch cried out "That's it! Do you really want to be a man again Kyrre?"
"yes, yes ma'am more than anything I do!" she answered quickly
"Then give me your hair! Your glorious wavy hair, so that I might make a wig"
Kyree didn't hesitate "Yes, lets do it!"
So teh witch cropped off all of Kyrre's hair, and once again transformed him back to being a man. He lamented the loss of his hair onlt briefly, but thoughts of being with her true love chased away any doubt he had left.
Kyrre ran back quickly to Crag Hack - and the two lived happily ever after, as man and man
The End.
ps: I rather hope that in Heroes 5 nothing unfortunate happens to poor Kyrre again

Who plays Heroes 4 anyway? (I played it for about a week when it first came out.. and then went back to Heroes 3)

Well, this is a 12 year old revival, but I liked kyrre as a woman in H3 (seemingly, unpopular opinion ) and I was flabbergasted to see the "Male Kyrre" in H4.
In the next version of my H4 mod, Kyrre will be a woman again, with the old portrait too :v

Then again Tamika is a chick too and I thought it was a dude, same with Fiona (We found masculine ways of pronouncing the words as kids lol, besides they look like duuudes).

sounds kinda disrespectful.
look, it's either 2 different people or he's a trans man. I would suggest sticking with that.
