WoG
Hiya!
I downloaded Wake of Gods yesterday and registered here to ask how to install it. But I figured it out myself instead so I guess I won't have to ask that.
Anyway, I just want to say that I've loved it so far, and I haven't seen everything yet. I just started playing Heroes again and this makes it seem like a whole new game.
Commanders and the new creatures are neat, and the "mutterings" are just hilarious.

edit- I suppose I should put a real question here so this post has a purpose, so: I read about a program called "ModHomm3" or something like that and I've been trying to find it. But all the links that I've seen go to "page not found" errors and the like. Am I looking in out-of-date places or something? If someone has a working download link to it, I would appreciate it a lot.

ModHomm3 and the ERM and a few other things were added to make WoG. Modhomm3 will NOT work with WoG if you are wanting it for that reason. The creator of Modhomm3 is a team member and the ERM creator is the MAN. So unless getting rid of WoG no need for Modhomm3. 3.58 is going well and we got more NEW stuff for you and we even have 1 or 2 creatures that are completely new this time no combining of this and that these are from scratch. And they IMO KICK SOME SERIOUS ARSE. We got 2 others coming as well but are a combo set or a remake. But I am excited about the 2 NEW ones

I'm really looking forward to playing it! I don't dare sign up for testers with my 56k connection, but I cannot wait to see the new creatures. Too bad Kitten gave up her Black Panther for now.
I wanted to ask you about that mod. Can I play "Tribute to Warcraft" map with it? If no, what else do I need?

The Mod is not compatible with WoG. If anything, you could probably take the map and covert it into a WoG map. Manually. Safest route to go, I would say. Other than that, it's kinda like a halfway point of WoG IMO from SOD. The MODHOMM addon that is.

Are u sure?
I cannot open the "Tribute to Warcraft" map with the WoG editor. I saw a screenshot showing the Warcraft 2 adventure map with Heroes 3 objects. Was it a fake?

Well, A long time ago I tried running the Mod for that particular series and I could'nt get it to work. The tribute map looked cool, but I could'nt get it to run, so I would have to say it might be a fake.

It's not a fake. You must download Tribute to Warcraft map and DoMM.exe program (from the same site).
First: Backup your *.lod files
2. Put DoMM into DoMM directory
3. Put all objects *.obj from Tribute to Warcraft.zip to DoMM directory.
4. Copy map Tribute to Warcraft.h3m into MAPS directory
5. Launch DoMM.exe
6. Follow the instructions
7. Enjoy the game

I'm sure it would be a fun map. But since my space is limited, I can't see D/L ing all that just for one map. Perhaps sometime someone could re-create the Warcraft map for WoG.

It is a FREE addition to Heroes3. You must have either SoD, Complete, or Platinum to use WoG. It is updated like every 6 months with new and improved stuff. 3.57f is the current public release and 3.58 is already in test phase. It adds a whole new world and creatures to HOMM3. To get more information go to these 2 sites. The main WoG site is http://www.strategyplanet.com/homm/wog/ the link to the other site which is a tournamnet site I run that has more pictures and information on the new creatures and things in the game is http://www.strategyplanet.com/homm/camelot/ once on that page click on game information. It has pics and information on the Creatures, Dwellings, and Commanders of WoG.
