He already refused the contract, there's no convincing him now! He's on his own.
Marelt, I think we need to set up a powerful shield around the Mantle of Vain and the surrounding Void as it seems the Godesses are preparing for some sort of attack.

(Communicating Telepathically) My Lord, some alarming news has come to my attention. It seems that troll, goblin nor any other race will come to our aid. They have sided wth the Goddesses. Even more sinister are the words spoken to me by the head troll. 'The plan is not to enslave man...but to destroy it' I request further course of action m'lord.

Considering all the new information, I think we better have a war council. Things are getting more serious here.
To Authorboy telepathically: Get out of there! If trolls and goblins are convinced they are under some kind of magic protection, they think they can take any wizard and do things to him that you don't want to know.
Creates a magic portal to the Void.
Make yourself some popcorn and have some rest. I will be busy for the rest of the day.
Starts adding confusion spells to the entrance and drastically increases the shield of the Void, so that not even supernatural beings can penetrate it.

While heading inconspicuously back to the Hideout through the desert that seems to be ever growing larger East of the Temple, I encountered a group of Nomad Warriors. It seems they have been forced to follow the Orders of the Goddesses because their leader, Whinnie_the_Behemoth was a frequent worshipper. They have offered their services to us, and have agreed to capture any follower of the Godesses they encounter.

Good, any loyal follower is welcome. Since the Void is infinetely large, I should have room for some stables and a couple of tents. I just hope they like popcorn. If not, I might have some camel beef in the back of my fridge.

I have a drastic plan. As you know i was once a librarian while in the employ of the King he had many spectacular volumes of magic. One such volume contained the information for something drastic. Up until now i thought it barbaric but now it seems necessary, the eradiction of all non-humans and mortal animals. Goblins, Trolls everything destroyed. It can not deal with the goddesses but it can stop their followers. I suggest we aqqire it but not use it unless the worse happens. I am in firm belief that it is us or them. There is one catch to the spell however that could affect us. Magic will destroy itself. All wizards would be normal humans again.

I agree that we should acquire it, but not to use it but to keep it away from anyone planning to use it. And indeed, if the goddess forces are at our doorstep, then I'm afraid we have no other choice.
By the way, I am not really a wizard in the literary sense of the word. I'm a spirit and the guide of the Void, so would the spell affect my powers, or would it destroy me as a non-human being?

Right then, back to business. Saruman, you proposed earlier that we would not attack the goddesses directly, but instead, use some of their tactics. We will take away the pleasures from their lives in order to let them suffer.
Saruman, take this fencecutter and use it to cut all the phonelines, electricity supplies and cable-TV lines. Once you are done with that, take these bombs to blow up the water supplies (no more baths, *evil laughter*).
Authorboy, take this large supply of bombs and blow up all the malls in the neighbourhood. No more shopping, spending time with their friends and gathering new worshippers. Everything, gone. When you're at it, take the cinema's as well. Especially the ones with chick-flicks, foreign films and anything they might like to see.
I myself will shut down any satelite TV, wireless phones and other things that work on radiation. Furthermore, I will let everything freeze in the neighbourhood. I would like to see all of them shiver in cold. They can keep each other warm then. How good would they be at "sharing body warmth"? *Chuckles*

Lith-Maethor just fixed the Temple, but he forgot that the attacks were not directed towards the temple. His little trick may perhaps fix the temperature, but won't bring back the water, telephone, TV or malls. Let us see how they are going to react to that.
