Rules
Hey everyone... I am new to this Forum and haven't played many games online. I am not new to Heroes 3 though. Would someone please tell me the "unwritten" rules of online play? I would hate to play someone and cast expert berzerk on them, only to have this person call me a cheater. This is not a post to stir up anything, I seriously would like to know what is ethical and what isn't in online play. Thanks a bunch!!

u discuss/arrange what rules u gonna play by in pre-game talks usually in the host's game room, either at msn zone or gamespy. dun matter where, just that u arrange rules b4 the game starts, but ask about everything if u not sure what is considered fair etc, otherwise u get a bad reputation, especially if u win

This helps... thanks for the replies. I really would like to play online, but don't want to piss people off. I consider myself good, but definitely inexperienced with online play. I have a feeling I will get my butt kicked several times, but will get better in the process. I used to play on mplayer (I think it was game spy?)... is this the best place to go for an online game?

The Best place to play H3 online is at the zone. If you go to MaH/ToH web page it has link for the zone.

I disagree here too ...
(sorry Hexa )
nothing wrong with destroying catapult IMO. It´s not easy to do it anyway, and if the attacker fears this move, he can try to build level 3 mage guilds.
Rules that in my gaming experience almost everyone agrees on is (on random maps):
- no Necropolis
- no Conflux
- restart if a player has no access to wood/ore
- restart if a player has no road
- no Fly/DD
And most players also prefer to ban Diplomacy skill.

I've seen where blind would be considered dishonorable. Why is that? Lets say I have a party and it included several Arch Angles. In the midst of the battle, I have used the 1 resurrect the AA are allowed to cast. Would it be dishonorable to cast Clone on my AA's and use the clone to resurrect? Thanks again for all of your replies.
