Ubisoft, M$ or Eidos... are we doomed ?
Most probably Ubisoft will buy 3DO.
One thing that scares me that it's CONSOLE GAME COMPANY. Just look at their homepage ! Striking colors, manga crap etc.
Is Heroes5 doomed to be simplified, have striking colors, manga etc ?

Why Would They Buy It Then?
It wouldn't make sense to turn Heroes into a console game. Seems that Nintendo tried it, and failed miserably, so what makes anybody think that they can make it succeed?
No, I think this will probably end up in Uncle Bill's greedy possession, though who knows what it'll look like?

I just read how bad Deus Ex 2 is going to be when compared to DE1. :<. COMMON AMMO FOR ALL WEAPONS, smaller levels etc :<
...They published Morrowind ?
Perhaps there is a hope.

Well, they didn't make it, but their name is on the product so I suppose they own the rights to it or something. Anyway, if they own HOMM will their company actually make the game or just let NWC make it while they get the money?

Micro$oft doesn't want to buy Heroes (high heat only).
Eidos wants to develop other games than tomb raider (looks like they killed the goose) and wants to buy about anything it can from 3do.
Ubisoft was distributing some Heroes games in Europe (not H4) so they know the game. Also, Ubisoft doesn't want any other title from 3do which is a good omen imho. They wouldn't buy a license $1.3 million to make a poor development. Finally, Ubisoft already wanted to buy Heroes a few years ago, I suppose 3do had never sold Heroes.
They already distribute many very good games like the settlers serie, splinter cell, everquest, grandia or myst, even Rayman is a hiqh quality game for those who like that type of game, ubisoft wouldn't ruin its reputation developping poorly one of the best tbs game serie.

The third company who wants to buy Heroes is JoWooD, their games are nice too but I think it won't be able to face UBI or Eidos.
And I prefer a rayman town (as an easter egg of course, no more) than a Lara Croft town... I imagine one of the heroes would be named Lara and most of the maps would be
1- to save lara
2- to help lara saving the world
Then there would be a movie: "Lara of Might and Magic: the forgotten forge"

hmm.. i have heard about some game named shadowbane that ubisoft publishes and it looked like a very large project, and even a bit innovative at some points. if they want to buy homm and nothing else, then i guess they already have an idea what to do with it.

By stating "Lara is ugly." I mean, that she's not pretty, not attractive, not tasty and her clotches are tasteless.
I have nothing against "limited" ;] clotching, but she has nothing interesting to show. In my opinion, of course >:-)

c'mon guys...
I have lots of reasons not to like Micro$oft... you gotta hand it to them tho... they make great game controllers and publish good games...
if only they could stick to that and let the OS business to somebody that know what they're doing...

i dont know if i would call it a crappy assed game, i enjoyed it, although i couldnt handle the N64 controls well enough to get anywhere. and i never tried or even know if its on the PC if it is im sure it would be a fun game.
