where do all the bees go?
i'll tell you where they go. people ****ing kill them. 800,000 bees killed, because ONE human died. they could have relocated them, ffs. they're goddamn USEFUL pollinators. but no, i guess that would take too much precious human time. bees have been disappearing for how long now? i guess people just want them gone, right? **** conservation, right? it's OUR territory. ffs. wtF.

That article is more dry than the aral sea, and even that still has some water.
most normal bees aren't very aggressive, unless you do something stupid. maybe it was a swarm of the "dreaded" killer bees?
the journalist who wrote this has the literacy of a kindergartener.
and besides, 800000 insects is just a drop in the ocean. there are thousands of beekeepers in the yankee land alone.

Lol. This comment made me curious enough to click. It's really funny indeed but I dont think it's news by a broadcasting company or associated press. The site says msn.com with the logo of the known instant messenger. I couldnt figure out exactly what kind of a news feed they have or is it actually official news but it doesnt look like editorial work.

800,000 bees is not something to just throw away; especially when they have been disappearing.
if 800,000 of rapidly declining honeybees are "just a drop in the ocean", then what, is 1 human being of an ever-growing race? would you say that bees are less destructive than humans, or more? less beneficial to the earth than humans, or more?

seeing as both the poorly copy pasted article you posted and the one from Washngton Post which Artu linked, there is lack of information of what kind of bees they were.
most normal honey bee swarms aren't aggressive since they're usually a fresh colony which hasn't fully developed it's defensive mechanism yet. So they usually won't attack you, unless you do something stupid like poke them with a stick or similiar idiotic action.
And no I did not read the wikipedia on it. I have some relatives and friends, and each keep at least 20 colonies of honey bees.
now africanised bees, or killer bees, as things show can be stirred up by mere nuisance such as increased vibrations. those bleepers are a whole different story.
and since the Washington Post article stated that there aren't many beekeepers in the proud state of Arizona, all bee swarms are treated as killer bee swarms. so yea.
And the honey bee's is in decline not of such exterminations, but more of heavy pesticides used in agriculture.
It's like whining that jews and muslims slaughter cows with prayers and rituals and crap.
Also yes, a human death is also a drop in the ocean.

i'm chill. i just find it both morally reprehensible, and wholly irresponsible(not to mention drastically illogical), to kill 800,000 useful bees, just because 1 human died. they could have just relocated the bees. they serve a much better purpose on earth, than most humans do. so do a multitude of other species, that humans tend to kill in bulk, in whatever manner.
