Ubisoft and Heroes
I would have thought in a resonable time after purchasing Heroes, Ubisoft would post a patch page on their site. I keep checking, but they still do not furnish heroes patches. I really hope this isnt a sign of how well they will support this game.

my only hope for heroes 5 is that vesuvius will win lotery and with his millions dollars he will order his genius programmers to create a super game... this dream is more realistic then expecting a good game from ubisoft without heroes old programmers.
btw , ves dont forget to buy ticket every week... for us plz

We musn't forget that UBIsoft has declared absolutely ZERO, 0%, *nada*, no intention whatsoever to
1) develop heroes 5 OR
2) to host any sort of patches.
So there is nothing that says that they will. They probably wont. There are ways to make it happen though, and we will see about that. Depends on all the gamers out there

I dont buy lottery tickets. Hey if every heroes player bought one every day, our chances might be up! But then again, if you won $5 million, would you spend 90% of it on developing a heroes game, or something else??

uhm Bjoern if things are the way ya say they are, then it comes the normal question : WHY BOUGHT IT?
if they don't have any intention with it?
bought it only cuz it was so cheap ( at price as I've heard) and they still want to test how the remained players "respond" to what heroes is atm and see if they think that the release of homm5 will be profitable for them or no?

In all likelihood, UbiSoft bought Heroes because it competes with their own turn-based strategy game. Perhaps they wanted to insure that Heroes V never gets developed. The only way they could do this was to buy the game.

..ive heard something which is a bit more then a rumour from a peep which is next to ubisoft. He said that they wont release H5 before 2005.
I dont know why Ubisoft gives more information to the players. Maybe an email from one of the biggest heroes homepages can bring more light into it.

ah, what a wise guy! 3do didnt go down cuz of h4, but their other bs games (that includes the latest installment of might and magic). sorry, but making up lies wont make h3 better than h4.. although i know that is your wish

while u wait for H5, try "Age of Wonders:Shadow Magic" like I'm doing. About a dozen regular heroes players (including Rych,Bjorn,Haile and Kuma) are into it now. It has a good random map generator.
Maybe soon someone will get keen and make a ladder for it

Well we are working on it on worldonlinenation.com. We have a forum and a chatroom up so far, but due to IRL work and school we havent been able to put up a ladder just yet tho.
But Im sure we will pretty soon.
