sorry for blacking out for a few days, i'm in a hospital right now with a bruised arm. I've cut myself with a chainsawdon't wory it's not bad i'll be back for the tourney soon. In order to keep up with the scheduale, i've agreed with moraptembul to submit the result between us now.We played best out of 5 games and the outcome was 4/1 for me. so it's a win for me.He was supposed to submit his loss too, but to my knoledge there isn't such a post yet. AFAIK he has a bad internet conection.
Leo if you read this please e-mail me(as my IM sistem works bad) i'll get back to you as soon as posible.
Sorry for delaying this so much....It's not my fault

I have a problem. I opened www.zone.com/heroes and after downloading the ActiveX component i was taken to the page where you select a game. When i select Heroes 3 i see a dialog window with picture and text saying "Connecting to Zone server..." and after this another one saying "Failed to establish connection with Zone server"
Ca anyone help?
Is it possible to play directly via TCP/IP?

Sorry that I wasn't around this weekend, tigris. Conan already knows why, but I would like to explain it to you as well.
On Wednesday night, my wife started cramping and bleeding badly, so we went to the Hospital Emergency (free Health Care in Canada). After 22 hours of tests and examinations, the doctors concluded that my wife was having a miscarriage. So, we spent the rest of the weekend at the hospital having the pregnancy terminated. 
Anyways, here I am! My wife & I are sad from time-to-time, but we are grateful for the experience and hopeful for the future. I especially want to stress to all of you that although this situation has changed my beliefs, it only did so by reinforcing them. Despite the grief my wife & I feel inside, we gained a renewed awe of "life" throughout this experience. We now appreciate how the creation of "life" is a complex & beautiful process, but also very fragile!
We were actually talking on Monday about how "life" is an amazing thing! Some times it is frail, but sometimes it is indestructible! "Life" truly is a miracle/blessing in itself!
Anyways tigris, I look forward to playing against you soon. Just let me know when is best for you, considering your exams.

Sorry to hear that;i'm also sory that i've pushed you earlier with those IM's rushing you to play. I hadn't read your last post at the time.If you feel it's not a good time, or feel you need to spend more time with your wife, i'll understand and we can play whenever you fell like it(i'm not such a studious guy after all so i guess a game won't do any harm even if i have the exams  )
Not much more to say, this is very sad indead

Keep it comming guys, this is doing well I think!
I wanted to add that there will only be a time limit on games (ie you must play a game in a 2 week period) in the final rounds, not the round robins. It will allow more room for people to play and deal with holidays and such
PS. Léo, I'm glad to see you are taking this the right (or good) way. It is a strengh you seem to have to take the best out of grim situations. It's nice to see you go. I am very confident for you in the future.

Thanks for the support everyone.
I really appreciate your concern and genuinely thank you for the kind words. Ya-Wen and I are doing well and are taking things one day at a time. We look forward to trying to conceive again soon, so don't be surprised if I suddenly get pulled away from the computer for 10 minutes every once & a while.  Hahaha!
tigris, don't worry about the IMs. I am actually really anxious to play another game because I sometimes spend hours in the Zone without getting challenged. It sucks having everyone fear you!

Yesterday it was a black day for me.I was on the ZOne for 4 hours trying to get a game and when i finally got one i stumbled into some technical problems.The big upset for me is that i can't play from school cos prolly they have a firewall enabled from the server or something like this.That only leaves me with taking my harddrive to a net in the city.Unfortunately my scheduale isn't at all flexible so it will delay my gaming a lot.I'll try to speak with the admin from my school network to disable the firewall(if any).Anyway, leo can we play this sunday?I'm available from 11 am on sunday to 6 am on monday(my timezone) that's 4am on sunday to 11pm on sunday for you.(basicly the whole day for you).So please set a hour in that interval for our game.

Ste....what error message do you get when trying to host/join a TCP/IP game?
If u can´t reach your opponent through IP, u surely have an enabled firewall OR a router....and that is a problem which could be fixed

i had my game with leo tonight.We played a medium midnight mix map.Started random, i was castle, he was rampart.I wasn't familiar with the template(neigter was leo) so i made a couple of mistakes, but in the end i won.Main battle was week 4 day 3 and the outcome a few days latter.
It was a good game!

I solved my problems with the Zone and as soon as I get my H3C CD back(in a few days) I can play with you! tigris beat me "fair & square", but used "misinformation" to lull me into a false sense of self-confidence. Damn him!
Actually, my lack of skill & experience is what led to my loss...tigris simply played well!  We also had fun chatting it up, so I look forward to my next game against Moraptembul.

Lool leo! I wasn't misinforming you! I was really in trouble, and the thought of quiting the game at that point admiting my loss did crossed my mind and i gave it very serious thought.Luckily i did not, mostly cos i didn't think it's fair to deny someone the satisfaction of winning the endfight. Irony...As i told you then i had some luck with the extra cash in that pan box, to upgrade fast.Whatever! The most important think is to have some fun, as you told me then, so why bother?
@Conan: What about our game?AFAIK the guys in the other division have been a little lazy.What about the match-ups after these division games are over? How will the tourney look from then?

Hi Tigris,
We could play our game this week-end if you like or maybe some time during the end of this week, but not sure yet.
About the tourney, you are right about the other division, but Ste did not have access to play a game yet and it seems like he is ok for a game soon.
I have asked StarGazer if he was still in by email but I have had no answer yet.
After these round robins are done, I will list the players and have a bracket-style championship. For example, the last place (lowest points) will matchup with the first place (highest points). The divisions will be kept and the winner in each division will fight for the Noob title.
A consolation round will also be held that way everyone at least plays 2 games.
