Could anyone explain this movie please?

How can John Travolta die, and still be in the end of the movie ?

I didn't see the first 25 minutes..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

speaking of the restaurant scene, where travolta and uma do the twist, that scene remained so memorable, that they tried a remake of the scene in the new movie called "be cool" where travolta is a former mobster who ended up in showbizz and thurman is the widow of a hollywood producer.
This thime the soundrack is provided by the black eyed peaches :S or whatever their name .Unfortunately it is a pale memory of that original dance scene.be cool is still a movie worth watching though.

My fave line from pulp fiction btw except for Ezikiel 25:17 is when Marcellus Wallace, freshly raped and carrying a shotgun sais:"Step aside Butch,......Ima go medieval on your ar$e."

great movie overall

Jules and Vincent arguing about the foot massage (Jules argues that there is nothing sexual about it):
Vince: are you good at foot massage?
Jules (sounding cocky): yeah! i am one of the best!
Vince: Cuz I could use one right now.
----
Mr. Wolf: which way are you, gentlemen, heading?
Vince&Jules reply.
Mr. Wolf: I think I see the future. And I see a bus ride in it.

Man! Why did Hollywood stop making good movies? Is it a new policy or something? I haven't seen any Pulp Fiction-quality movies come out recently.
Oh, and there's always Heartbreak Ridge
Recruits: "Come on, Sarge! Its Saturday! Lets take a day off!"
Sarge: "Ok, who wants to take a day off?"
Recruits: makes some affirmative noise.
Sarge: "Good to see democracy in action!"
Recruits: look happy
Sarge: "But we'll run instead."

Or how about: "I'll show you what's black'n'bleeding if it doesn't shut its trap." (in reply to "what's 12 inches long and white?" joke)

you found that to be as good as PF? That was one of the worst action movies ever made. There was nothing original about it, everything they've had in there was taken from one of the other movies (such as quoting the bible before shooting). But they couldn't even do a remake in a way that's at least fun to watch (let alone make sense). The plot and the whole movie was too full of cliches and just incredibly stupid in general to be anywhere near watchable.

Im the foo?
all of boondock saints was meant to be a cliché!!
all they talk about is how everything they're doing is based on what they've seen on tv!  so it would make sense that the movie itself would follow trends that we've seen in other tv shows!!

(guess you didn't notice that... you DID notice there were Rushians thought right?)

and you never EVER see money in the brief case at the end of PF!  you only see a light!

...pffft!

Ok, you may be right, maybe WE didn't see it, but I got the impression that it is either money or something that's worth a lot of it. With my money being on the money Because what else could they possibly be carrying from the drug dealer's apartment besides the crack? And if it was crack, then I don't see why would "Pumpkin" say it is beautiful.
And well, guys in Boondock saints may have said that they base it on TV, but that doesn't mean the director of this movie wasn't allowed to put something original it is, or at least to not make such a poor version of very old and very beat ideas. The plot is just stupid in general.
And yes, I did notice Russians. Russians often appear in those movies and they have a tendency of looking retarded there. As a result of that, they always lose. (Ok, smart comments aside - not all Russian mobsters are retarded.) I have yet to see an American movie where Russians are the good guys or at least the bad guys who win.

(ooh.... sounds like Russ' gettin' defensive!!)

ok pulpfiction:
well Celfious mentioned something about the Marcellus' soul beeing sold... maybe it's the soul.
(but now that I think about it, when Jules collects the briefcase from the younger punks, does he actually count it?  or does he just look inside? (ill have to check the script)

Boondocks:
Man, i loved the whold story development... and I love movies that are sarcastic and ironic...  I think it was good.  especially considering they were vigilanties always referring to how it's done on TV!
oh well....

Russians?
Are YOU a retarded russian mobster??
j/k
actually maybe you could tell me if the russian they speak is acurate.. I always wonder that!
(like the bumble bee in simpson's)

EDIT:
more of Jebus' favorite scenes...

JULES:   What country you from!
BRETT:  (petrified)   What?
JULES :"What" ain't no country I know!  Do they speak English in "What?"
BRETT: (near heart attack)  What?
JULES:  English-mother****er-can-you-speak it?
BRETT: Yes.
JULES: Then you understand what I'm sayin'?
BRETT:  Yes.
JULES:  Now describe what Marsellus Wallace looks like!
BRETT:  (out of fear) What?
JULES:  Say "What" again!  C'mon, say "What" again!  I dare ya, I double dare ya mother***er, say "What" one more god***n time!

I only watched the movie once and since it wasn't the movie to remember, I sure as hell don't remember what they were saying or how they were saying it.
But in case you didn't know, there are 2 versions of "Russians" in Hollywood movies:
1) very very poorly prepared movie stars who speak something they think is Russian, but it is nowhere near close and very hard to understand (i.e. Red Heat, etc). To get the idea of how smth like this would sound in English - think of Indians speaking English (Indians with the dot, not the ones with the feather), then add poor grammar and wrong word choice and you'll get the idea.
2) (more rare, but sometimes this does happen) They actually hire Russians to play Russians!!! In that case their knowledge varies, since some of immigrants they hire forget some of the language and end up sounding kinda funny because of that. (probably like me when I speak Engligh )

Now, I can't remember which one of the two was in BDS, but I think it is #1 because the movie was crap, so it would make sense for them to use the crappy option

1) Ok, I get it... you don't like the film... let's move on.
2) you suck.  it was great.

nice to know about the diff types of russians in movies..
you rarely see english movies with french terrorists so it's tough to see if they actually are true to the language they are using...  (and in most cases it's France french that I barely understand)
