A minor detail Frick: The article states that he's a professor of law (is that the english term?) not history.

Yes, indeed. I wrote that before I found the article, so.. Sorry. But, as you said, it's still a shame anyone denies the holocaust like that.

Anyway, hate. I think this thread is about anti-semitism, not hate as in overall hate. I have spent several years of my life hating/thinking the only thing I could feel was hate, but that's not equal to nazism or racism. It was just overall, raw hate towards the universe, the creation, my existens and myself.

@anti-semitism being a threat: I do consider it to be a threat in Europe. At least in Sweden, but also in other nations. Here this problem is becoming more of a problem as the "I hate Blacks"-politics are gaining ground. Not that I care about politics AT ALL, but it's still scary. And at Denmark.. LOT's of people in Sweden consider Denmark as a very foreign-hating nation. I don't know if it's true, but that is the image that is being fed to my mind.

You even break a law here in germany if u deny the existence of concentration camps and what horrible actions took place there.

Wow, I'm impressed.  That's good to hear.

I can't say the same about the Japanese though.  They deny what happened in WWII and do not teach it to the students.  I was suprirsed at how many of the Japanese students didn't know what their part was and what they did in the war.

This is probably why Chinese people as a whole still do not like Japanese people.  We demanded a formal apology, but they deny their actions.

When I was little, my parents pretty much taught me to hate Japanese people.  We watched this film or whatever that showed how cruel the Japanese were.  They injected people with horse blood, hung them on hooks by their throats, and cut open pregnant women's stomachs and killed their babies in front of them and then left them to die.

For a while, I did hate the Japanese because of those things that I saw and other influences, but that faded over time.  It's part of history.  Learn from it and let it go.

My father is a racist and a homophobe. I have grown up to be a hater but I tend to be a lover still. (A proud one at that! )
My dad is especially rude to the Asian community and the gay community, and believe it or not...the homeless. I don't like that, especially because the religion that I take part of and that they continously press into my life teaches to love everyone like Jesus loves them. Being a racist holds that back, doesn't it?

Every culture has had its villians. The Americans tortured and killed the Native Americans, Native Americans tortured and killed Americans, the Japanese went after the Chinese, the Germans after the Jews...the list goes on. That is why I made this thread.

Hate.

Hate is what screws us over. Hate is what makes this world so ignorant and even as it makes me sad...it makes me angry. I don't get angry often, but even as I am writing this right now, I am crying. Because it makes me so...horrified. What is happening with this world? Where did it go wrong?

I want to know how so much hate can be created in such a small world.

We know that, but "foreign-hating" is a very strong word. The thing is that the government (and the political opposition have accepted this due to the support it receives from the population) felt that it was necessary to decrease the number of immigrants coming to Denmark because many of them proved to be difficult to integrate into the society. But this concerns immigrants that come to settle down not refugees of war. But I shall not tire you with details of our domestic policy.
However in Denmark we see Sweden as a country where the political correctness knows no bounds, and therefore having a debate about such issues is near impossible.
The antisemitism in Denmark is usually found in islamistic organizations like Hizb-ut-Tahrir.

Haha! That IS true! And even if someone succesfully started a debate on a more "seroius" level, no one would care, as we all live in our own little paradise.

Normal thoughts from an avarage Swede (IMO!!):
"Problems? Is that something they have in, like Asss--ia and stuff? I have a car, a house and some kids and a wife I can beat the crap out of, so I'm very happy. Also there's booze around here. Oh, I almost forgot, I hate Americans. NO AMERICAN can tell you where Sweden is. Thay are ALL nationalistic jerks that don't see beyond their own nosetip, like I do."

Homo Homini Lupus = Man is a wolf to man.

This old roman proverb is known for thousands of years and it haven't change since....

...but if this would be true literally we wouldn't kill each other 'cause a healthy wolf never kills another wolf. It is programmed in their genes to stop fighting when the other lays down on its back to the ground and shows its light belly when the other could easily kill it. And afterwards the hate is gone and forgotten. No killing involved.

The problem with people is that we do not know when to stop.

If the Holocaust was not a case of clear racism, then I really must be missing the meaning of the word. Probably I should read more about it huh!?! As far as I know anti-semitism is a clear case of racism.

Well, not in the true meaning of racism, because the jews are not charecterized as a racial group but as a religious one (even though Hitler did not distinguish between the jews as a people and as members of a religion). But you could say that it's a special case of racism (the result is the same any way), anti-semitism is just more correct.
