Lmao, I had the feeling you would comment my picks this week. But after last weeks amazing game by the chargers I couldnt go against them. Besides that, Denver arnt as good as their record imho. They were outplayed by the steelers but were lucky that the steelers made so many turnovers. Btw I made exactly these picks on a danish site before you posted yours, so I dont feel any guilt what so ever

Quote: There are 34 Teams in the NFL. Why is it impossible to play 33 games in regular season for each team?
I ask the same question. If they played 33 games in the regular season there might be space for talented players like the krumolator in the NFL. Who wouldnt want to see that?
The imo most unbalancing factor in the NFL is that the AFC is so much stronger than the NFC. The NFC teams have a way easier road to the superbowl than the AFC teams.
N.B. Those Chargers are pretty good arnt they?

I'm not sure I have the energy to entertain this comment. Really... why don't all sports around the world just go to a 164 game season like baseball and we could call it a day. I would love to see 164 title defenses in boxing... wonder how long a mans career would last.
AFC/NFC - Strength of conference shifts back and forth. During the 60's it was the Packers, 70's it was the Steelers, the 80's it was the 49'ers, 90's it was the Cowboys, 2000's the Patriots. Who do you think will win the Superbowl this year? I am not confident the team will come from the AFC.
Bah, the Chargers are lucky!!!

My point exactly. As we know everything can happen in one game. So a team from the NFC can easily win the superbowl but would never get to the superbowl if it had been an AFC team.
I know you think Chicago might win it, and they have a pretty good chance since they are a very good team and they are one of the few strong teams in the NFC which might give them an easier run through the playoffs than their opponents.
Dont get me wrong here, I think the system works fine (no system is perfect), im just pointing out that the AFC is much stronger than the NFC imo.

Well, I do agree that the AFC has had its fair share of tough teams the past few years... what I am saying is that it shifts back and forth. If you watched the NFL in the 90's, it was Dallas vs. San Francisco in the NFC Championship... the winner would go on to pummel whoever won for the AFC. In this case, the NFC Championship was looked at as the Superbowl and the actual Superbowl was a joke.

Even though I have to admit, I saw many injuries the last weeks I followed the NFL, especially for the Quarterbacks (McNabb this weekend...), there are some more reasons for the way the schedule in the NFL is made as it is.
A football (soccer) club in europe can have 22 worldclass players (like Chelsea for example) if he has enough money to afford them and pay their salary. As far as I know, this system is a bit different in the american leagues. I forgot how it is called, but isn't there a maximum amount of money a team is allowed to spend as salary for their whole team? So even if they could afford 3 worldclass Quarterbacks, they wouldn't be allowed to have them all in their team coz of that rule? Same goes for the rest of the team of course. That may be the reason why the "2nd" teams (substitutes) is so much weaker than the first teams. I'm not really annoyed by the amount of games a team plays in 1 season (17 regulars...), but about whom they play against. Teams like the Colts don't have very strong opponents in their division, but play each team twice. I think with this "division- system", it is even possible a team could go into the playoffs with a negativ record, right?
They should just make 2 leagues, AFC and NFC. Every team of each league plays against every other team of the same league, which makes 15 games. And additional to that, they play vs 2 teams of the NFC which had the same (or nearly) record they had in the past season (This is similar to the "switzerland system" they use in chess tournaments.)
And then the Top4 of each league go to the playoffs.
Just an idea though....
Btw Acu....u should stick to your team..in good and in bad times...then u get your reward....go 49ers go...
