I have had it in mind to update at some time though it may take a while I'll be posting it faction by faction, if you have any objections or additions let me know. Some factions I ma not very familiar as so I hope I can count on your input until I check things myself Haven and inferno mostly. Then there's the matter of heroes, those that are unit or warmachine specialists do not have a place here so I'll pick something more balanced.

DUNGEON
If you have been keeping an eye of the secrets of destruction thread you should have a fair idea of what to expect Your creeping arsenal is made up of furies, stalkers, early destructive->secrets of destruction/enlightenment. Maybe mage guild 2-3.
TIER 1
Horde of sprites: A few single stalkers->invisible->nuke 'em.
Horde of assassins: They are a pain, unavoidable losses.
Horde of stalkers: About the same.
Horde of gremlins saboteurs: WIth any luck you'll have no losses.
TIER 2
Horde of archers
>>marksmen
>>crossbowmen: All can be won week 1 though you must get some knowledge. Archers are guaranteed.
Horde of stone gargoyles
>> obsidian gargoyles: Use all stalkers and preserve your mana.
Horde of blood furies: Can be won but if more than 1 stack survives after invisibility is gone you are dead. Do not try with eldritch arrow unless you have good spellpower.
>>blood sisters: Even worse, have lvl 3 spell and hope they are split in 4. Better to avoid just in case.
Horde of blade dancers
>> war dancers
>> wind dancers: Easier than the furies.
Horde of skirmishers
>>harpooners: Invisibily and blast them away.
Horde of centaurs
>>nomads/marauders: Same.
TIER 3
Horde of squires/vindicators: Just 8 furies.
minotaur upg: Furies but better to have some spells to thow.
Horde of steel/magnetic golems: >>
Horde of cerberi/firehounds: Invisibility here, if mana is not enough blast the first 2 stacks and melee the third before stalkers get visible. If you have lvl 3 spell have stalkers in corner and they'll set themselves up for aoe.
Horde of spectres: Manageable.
>>poltergeists: A bit more dangerous, make sure you can kill them fast as they can reach you in 2 turns after you get visible.
Horde of hunters: Manageable.
>>master hunters: Hmm.
>>arcane archers: Hmm.
Horde of black/whitebear riders: Manageable but have at least lvl 2 spell and enough mana. You'll need all stalkers and a few to guard the main. With lvl 3 spell you rule.
Horde of warmongers
>>maulers: 8 furies.
TIER 4
Lots of mages: Almsot easy.
>>archmages/battle mages: If mana is enough.
Lots of grim/brisk raiders: Manageable.
Lots of imperial/battle griffins: Same.
Lots of succubi
>>succubi seducers: Same.
>> succubi mistresses: Only if you can kill them fast with spells.
Lots of vampires
>> vampire lords/princes: Manageable.
Lots of druids
>>druid elders: With enough mana/power.
Lots of brawlers/berserkers/battleragers: Manageable.
Lots of sky/earth daughters: Manageable.
TIER 5
Pack of djinns/djinn sultans/viziers: Easy.
Pack of hydras/upg: Only the upgrade can be challenging.
Pack of hell chargers
>> nightmares/hell stallions: Manageable, in case of stallions do not keep the stalkers adjacent.
Pack of priests/upg: Manageable.
Pack of liches
>>archliches: Manageable.
>>lich masters: Heck no unless you have lvl 3 spell and it's still not easy because they keep raising each other.
Pack of unicorns
>>silver unicorns
>>pristine unicorns: Manageable but better have lvl 3 spell.
Pack of rune priests
>>rune patriarchs
>>rune keepers: Manageable, have exp irresistible magic just in case secrets of destruction gives you fireball/wall.
Pack of slayers
>>executioners/chieftains: Manageable.
TIER 6
Pack of pit fiends/lords
>>pit spawns: Same.
Pack of wights
>>wraiths/banshees: Same, don't keep stalkers close when facing banshees.
Pack of treants: Manageable.
>>savage/ancient treants: If you have the mana.
Pack of thanes: Manageable.
>>flamelords/thunder thanes: Hmm.
Pack of wyverns
>>foul wyverns/paokai: Manageable.
TIER 7
Actually all but the flying dragons can be defeated with a lvl 2 or 3 spell. Green and shadow dragons can be won but can be a bit tough.

Quote:
Horde of stone gargoyles
>> obsidian gargoyles: This time have all stalkers and weaken with spells as much as possible before it comes to melee.
This is a common mistake. Stalkers can take out a double number of gargoyles (upg or not) with no spells involved. Even easier for assassins. You must learn to preserve your mana early on.
