Now please include in the map list stated above the map : "Dueblo" - really good map, don't know why so many people haven't tried it. Insatiable's maps are always good and fun to play.
Everyone is scared of his long turns actually Its definitely above the average
Dueblo is good choice also

So far the wishful map list contains:
Dragon Hill
Master of Disguise
Ashes and Sands
Heritage of Deleb
Hourglass
Battlezone
Rat race
Dead Man's Lake
Battle for Honor
Random XL(under)-Huge(No under)
Dragons Cape
Forgotten Kingdoms
Dueblo
That makes a total of 13 options. Any new submissions should be in pairs in order to keep the number odd.
To merry-go-round in a bunch of last posts: I love if someone rubbs my back as well and I'm familiar with a well conducted foreplay but, please, could you do all this courting in the "meeting players" thread or msn (like I do)?

Interesting idea! Common practise in the world of sports is that the previous champion is granted a spot. Let's hear from Ves what is the custom in TOH.

I think map list is ok, and its only important that the number must be odd.
Other questions are clear, or if not everyone accepts Ves decisions.
Only we have not heard abt Mordaunt, others are ready.
So there is only one thing left before Ceasar really start: psychollogical terror.
And it seems to me that you are the first victim of it

I am all in favor of Granting WILD cards Especially since I have been unable to get games and or my save times to meet up for over a month now! ( Still NO BETRUGER EITHER! ) Been stuck at 26 pt mark. Sigh..
Altho... one note... werent you the Ceasar for Heroes 4 game? This totally different game...
And if I get wild card and get in... I agree with Maps list

The Rules we can all use:
"round 1 -- random matchups, up to three games each (best 2 out of 3)."
Both players will be able to choose their own map and the opponent will choose the color. Game can start after "preparation time" so both players will have same chances.
Game #3 if players cant agree on something else--> Random XL+under,Monsters-->strong,Players 6, temple S7-22P2-8Z15K2.4c (s7 are the best templates and "4c" is the better one),Hide minimap,Towns should not be random so the game will put races on their native terrain. Both players will roll for colors and will play race of their color.
Rules: All random. No mirrors,No Wyngaal for sylvan. No hit and run. (after full 2 turns {10ini- 1 turn}everyone can run from battle). You can leave battle anytime if not making any dmg. You can make hit/run vs not main heroes. No ring of speed + staff of netherworld combo. No DV in final battle. No time limit.Hard.
I'm choosing 1 of my games to be on Hourglas. Lets everyone post their maps from now so that it is easier for others to "prepare" early.

Just for a minute there it looked like consensus here, but i guess that was just too good to be true. Although, i think we agree on most things, but maps selection seems to be an issue.
Both players will be able to choose their own map and the opponent will choose the color. Game can start after "preparation time" so both players will have same chances
This is a possible way to go - but i would prefer a strikeout from the map list here as the "default" if nothing else is agreed. I think the games could be too uneven to be fun, at least for the not so great amongst us. And - it will require more time to prepare that playing the map left standing after striking out. Both players would hopefull know that pretty ok.
Strongly disagree on this - as random maps is not as much used (by far) as in earlier heroes versions, this would be totally meaningless to make this decisive. It is not at all fair to those that havent tried random templates, and XL is not an obvious choice either. This sounds more like a personal choice than any diplomatic option for the 3rd game. Regardless of what is the decision on game 1 or 2, i think strikeout is the thing when it comes to the last game.
No time limit.Hard
At least we can agree fully on this!

Removing Maps from the list is the worst possible idea. This will only lead to even more argueing and the players will always feel they have been cheated. My sugestion is the everyone picks up the map he is best at.In this there is a lot more logic since if you are able to beat your opponet where he is best at then you really deserv the victory. Let this be a quality tournament where everyone shows his best.
I don't really like the argument "This guy can only play 1-2 maps so lets force him to play a map he can't play so we get an easy win".This is the logic and an argument of a loser who doesnt trust his own skills and is looking for cheap victories.

I just don`t get it, your arguing makes no sense at all. What can there be to argue about if the list is set and map is found through striking out? Maybe we misunderstand eachother.
How can a map chosen by striking out favour one player so much more than another? How can that be a cheap win? Anyway, lets hear what other people say, maybe i have misunderstood something. Worst case i guess we end up with one having played the map 5 times and the other only 2 or 3.
Anyway, its not very strange that we look at it differently. I have played tons of different maps, and know many "ok", but very few very good. E.g striking out suits me fine. You know one map like your right pocket, and not too many else, e.g striking out is not so good.
I will accept whatever the decision may be.

Again I hesitate to post my opinion in this thread... but I just cannot resist...
Do you hear your self Elit...
""This guy can only play 1-2 maps so lets force him to play a map he can't play so we get an easy win".This is the logic and an argument of a loser who doesnt trust his own skills "
Sounds like you dont trust your " Skill " without your crutch map.
You yourself have pointed out that you know only that one map... Your claim to fame and claim to skill is based off of 1 thing! Memorizing 1 map. That is not the mark a a skilled player. If you think of yourself as a skilled player then you will beable to play any map... I think its good idea to familiarize yourself with maps with prep time.. I agree there.. But I DO NOT think you should beable to pick your doninate map for 1 of the 3 games Strike OUT system is the best, most fair, most logical system to use! Plain and simple.
I am not trying to attack you Elit.... just trying to make a point. Just because 98% of your games the whole season was on HG doesnt mean the rest of the partipants in Ceasars want to play that map.

elit reminds me of fungus that keeps sprouting up whenever you forget to spray it with antiseptic Now the plague has entered the Caesars thread Sometimes, looking at the crooked logic behind his posts, I clearly imagine elit using random typing program that just pops up words in no particular sequence hehe
Let's just revert to the times of peace and harmony. On June 21, after Ves left for Bugatti factory, there is a summary post about agreed rules. For now, we should be working on establishing the final version of the map list. Currently there are 13 entries... Any more candidates?
P.s. Sry - again, I could not resist temptation

Yes I hear myself. The main idea of eliminating maps is to prevent the opponent to play the one's he play best and thus reducing his chances of a win. This may be a very good tactic but i dont like it couse it is cheap. For me the highest priced victory is when you defeat your opponent where he is strongest. This is why I will play the map that my opponent likes with exception for Strider. And becouse you Jinxer talk to much - no BZ for you

Actually Elit... I doubt you will believe me... but if I was to strike maps from the list... I would be doing so to eliminate maps I hate or never played.. not take out maps my opponent is good at. Just like if someone was to be matched with me... I doubt they remove Battlezone because they think I am good at it.. ( I lost more then I won on my own map but more so because they arent any good at it... or just dont like it.
With the 13 maps listed I could tell you right now the 6 maps I would remove no matter what my Opponent..
HourGlass
RatRace
DML
HOD
DragonsCape
Dueblo
So for me it has nothing to do with " is my opponent good at it." But do I like it? And am I any good at it
