Soul Calibur IV!
Hi it's me again. I have just got this nice game called Soul Calibur IV. It is a fighting game much like mortal kombat. But in a different kind of way. You can create your own characters and unlock new ones. Does anyone have the game?

The soul calibur series is awesome . I mean come on you have Yoda, Darth Vader and Link oO!!! It's like Superman batman and spiderman all fused together!!

They're trying to get more attention, and in the process, they're ruining the roster. Link and Spawn, and Darth Vader, Yoda, and the Apprentice were all stupid addittions. The only guest character that really worked was Heihachi.

Heehe^^ ok I see there are tiny differences in our opinions. To be honest I'm only a fan without having really played the game . Except for 10~15 times at a friends house. So Mvass argument may be valid form a "real" fan perspective but from the noobish "oh something shiny" kind of perspective it's cool.

I agree with Mvass here. I mean everyone have swords and not so advanced weapons. And then Yoda comes there with a LIGHTSABER. I mean could it be more wrong. What comes next stormtroopers in Heroes 5. But otherwise it is a really good game. For you who have it who is your favorite character? Mine is Nightmare and Seigfried and Kilik.

I love Soul Calibur! Best fighting series ever!
Too bad I don't have a PS3 or 360... the character creator looks awesome in this game!
About the guest characters... it's fine for me, as long as they don't try to make them part of the story, which they have...  
Oh... and Ivy looks like a dude in SC4... and her outfit is just too much... -200 respect points (I guess there are other outfits as well, but the sexy outfit is like her trademark, and they ruined it!)
Oh, and this "critical finisher" thing I've seen everywhere on youtube, a great addition to an already great game!

Don't have SC4, but in SC3 I used Siegfried, Kilik, Seong Mi-na, Abyss, Raphael, and Lance CaS.

The only reason Ivy is still in the series (ignoring her awesome comobo potential) is to draw even more horny teenagers into the fray. Just like Taki the perpetually erect ninja.
Siegfried, Kilik, and Nightmare were my three main in Soul Calibur 2. Never played 3 due to Namco's annoying decision to only release it for the PS2. And Link was pure cheese.

Personally... I love all characters that uses attack-stances, like Mitsurugi, he's awesome 
In SC2, I loved Ivy, she had a complicated combo system that was really awarding once you learned it, and she had many stances to choose from (You know, the ones when she spins the whip and stuff.)
Then they simplified her in SC3... but on the other hand, Mitsurugi became a real killing machine!
Also, in SC2 Nightmare was my favourite character... he was so damn cool!
Then... in SC3 we suddenly had a braindead character that was unable to end a sentence without saying "Darkness"... I hate the SC3 Nightmare... He lost all his personality to Siegfried...
And from what I can see when I search "SC4 Nightmare", he looks just like a monster... what's happening???!!! Damn Souledge...!! You belong in Siegfried's hands!

Actually in Sc4 there are two souldge's. one (the red one) belongs to nightmare and the other one (the blue one) is wielded by siegfried. And I like the Sc4 nightmare. He is cool (I think). But when I play as Nightmare my brother plays as astaroth. He is really good. But when I play as Siegfried I beat him easily. And a new Character to Sc4 is Algol.He can summon both the souledges as his weapons.

When I mentioned Soul Calibur 4, nobody threw 2 cents.. anyway.. it was one of my most anticipated games of the year since I own all of them.. It's great!

@Booboo I just got Soul calibur 4 and I just thougt it was a really god game and just wanted to tell everyone at HC. (my favorite website and where I spend most of my day)

At least when it comes to personality. SC2 Nightmare's winning poses really rocked, the way he fell to his knees, raised his hand and said "My Thirst... is endless...!" That sends chills along my back every time
Anyway, this thread is about the 4th game, sorry.
