Nope, you're wrong.
It was on the 28th of February.

You'd better get going and tell that to IGN, GameSpot, Wikipedia, Mobygames, Celestial Heavens and the Nether Gods site from 1999.

The only thing I can say you is that they all copied somebody's mistake.
It was released in February. And there are a lot of game portals which knows about it. Gamerankings, for instance, or strategyplanet. And all the russian community knows it too. So you'd better correct the English wiki page.

Okay, I rechecked eight sites and each one has either of the two dates. I can't tell which is actually true since I wasn't at the game's launch. I don't know about the Russian community but I guess, being in Russia, they weren't there either
Anyway, let's celebrate, or whatever it is we normally do on tenth anniversaries.

That's the matter that we celebrated this anniversary 3 month ago.
But of course, it doesn't mean that you haven't to do it now. Hf.

I read somewhere that the AI in WoG is weaker than in the original game. Can I ask you if it's true, and if it is, why?

WoG changes nothing regarding AI behavior. There is also a command which improve its strategy radius, so it can be even better than in original.

I have to underline that. Only in WoG I faced a computer opponent casting HYPNOTIZE at me. Never saw that before on SoD.

The Alexander thread is here.
You can remove the time limit in the editor/tools/map specifications/loss condition. I usually put a time limit to all my maps because from my experience the game has a big chance to freeze after 12th month. Also for other various reasons, as growth of neutrals or enhanced abilities.

Hi,
I would like to have a DIRECT link to a place that I can d/l WoG , I am looking forward to try this.
Also, if any of you could make a small "guide" as to installation ( Does it overwrite Heroes 3 Complete ? - And others like that...) as I am a computer illiterate, some would say

In the Control Panel > Regional and Language Options, not the Taskbar. Then click "OK".

Some time ago browsing through the forums I found a patch. I forget who made it, but basically it involved a script and a txt file which improved spell descriptions, gave magic arrow to all heroes that start with spellbooks, and makes all heroes move about 25% farther.I still have this patch; but couldn't find the link to it and if it's still around somewhere I'm not aware of it. Just bringing it to attention here since this seems to be the Add-On hub post. It's a very good patch.

Transfer ownership of Flagged Structures
Question regarding how to transfer ownership of flagged objects:
I have the correct option checked, but no idea how to transfer, for example, my gold mine or my archer tower to another player.
I've tried Shift-Click, Shift-Right-Click, Ctrl-click, etc... but can't figure out how it's supposed to work.
Anyone know?
Thanks much.

In game, right-click on the "chat bar" (the brown bar at the bottom of your adventure screen), then right-click on the mine you want to transfer to your ally. When asked if you want to renounce the ownership, choose "no" and then you can transfer it to the other player (for a small price).

And just in case anyone wants to install WoG on Linux (like me):
First check content of env var:
env | fgrep "LC_ALL"
Next, set it to english:
export LC_ALL=en
Next, install Wog. Then revert to original:
export LC_ALL=.... (insert here what you saw in first step.
