US trains child soldiers

This is VERY disturbing. I dont even know how this can be legal in a "semi-modern" country like that.
I didnt translate myself from the Swedish article so dont blame me.

Brandon Curry, 8, is a soldier in the U.S. service

U.S. raises every year thousands of child soldiers. Young Marines already recruited at age 8. Follow their daily lives in this unique ism.

Young Marines is an organization in the United States that has existed for fifty years and are recruiting young boys and girls 8-12 years of age to drill them in military discipline, physical activity, endurance and a drug-free living. On the schedule are all from Mandatory military exercises, tests to know about the Vietnam War and other milestones in the American war story.

The training aimed implicitly at encouraging the "moral and physical self-awareness".

There are three hundred Young Marines groups around the United States, grouped into six divisions. Overall, the organization has 16 000 members. Pentagon spends each year 7 million on child soldiers and recruit them.

Critics of U.S. marine schools is unequivocal in its view. This is child soldiers formed to become machines of death and is a direct source selection to the real Marines.

See everything from the "Young Marines". Follow their daily lives in this unique ism - subscribe to Plus.

These kids dont get to be children. Instead, they get forced into barbaric murdering beasts.
btw, here are like +50 pictures. Evidence.

Debate.

No I won't download 30 MB of pictures from a random download service I've never heard of.

Could you give us an english source that we can read from? A quick google search didn't give me anything.

Military school...
It wouldn't be my choice, but with the quality of education nowadays, i don't think it's such a bad decision.

They're not child soldiers, they're just a military version of boy scouts and school. They don't fight, so how can they be soldiers? Child potential recruits would be more fitting all over.

The topic had my attention till the moment I saw you created it... but I guess one should give it a chance so I'd like to know where " the Swedish article" is from. A news site, newspaper site, anything that can be taken seriously or is it from somewhere less serious? Afterall the topic is very "populistic" (don't know the proper english word my apologizes). If you have no idea the link alone will work for me my danish should let me get the gist of it, I hope.

Uhm? I thought everybody went into aftonbladet every day (or... maybe... not).
http://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/article6119490.ab

Then because it was 50 PLUS pictures (and I dont subscribe) I had to a certain site called Flashback (which opens up Plus articles in PDF format).

I just opened the pictures - you dont need to save them on your computer >.>

Anyway. They also let small children train in the gym but their bodies are not ready for that and will be ruined.
Also they teach religious stuff which is also forbidden (I dont know about that one... US is very different from Sweden in some ways).

Now these children will probably learn lots of BS and propaganda and not get their own opinions. And look, they are punished like 32/9.

Hahaha, you take things from Aftonbladet seriously?! Like, immediately, without checking with other sources...?

Aftonbladet is the kinda newspaper that once had two pages with an article about a bakery using a possibly rascist name for their pastry.

Yeah like, totally serious newspaper man. *applauds*

Uhm did you even look at the pictures (both of you)?

So you think they faked up everything?

Or you might want to write in one word on Google?

I Googled Young Marines.

Here sir.

http://www.youngmarines.com/

Its horrible and would never be legal here and they would get like 1 month prison here.

Really, xerox, there's worse out there. Just people with militaristic (I.E. republican) parents. Hey, could be worse. These kids could've grown up in the ghettos. Would be much worse than a harsh, nationalitic, militaristic education. You think living in the ghetto isn't some kind of brainwashing? Where it's 'cool' ta be 'gangsta'?

Am I the only one who doesn't see anything wrong with this?
These kids aren't child soldiers by any stretch of imagination.

Adrius, you should stop criticizing all of xerox's sources when you know they aren't all fake. It's just that he exaggerates. It's probably a scout camp.

Uhm most of those comes from good families so they wouldnt have lived in the ghetto?

Also thats better anyway because otherwise they will not grow up to be mindless killing machines.

Sorry, I have had peace for 200 years so I dont see the point of wars except decimating the human population so we dont become to many.

Can't see where I criticized all of his sources but yeah, I went over the line, I apologize Xerox.

Still, I can't see the point of linking to their official site. I'm sure if Hitler had a website during WW2 it would sound pretty merry to an outsider.

Meh. If the Nazis had won there then Hitler would be like a god to us. The winners always writes history.

But if you look at the picture it says god on the wall and they are training and getting punished all the time.

Thugs are worse. You don't see many soldiers open fire in a city. Thugs are everywhere.

And since when is being unpopular an excuse for murder?
