Idem, I tried the 1600x1200 and it is a whole new world. Not fully compatible with WoG, but a great step anyway.

Search hardly brings satisfactory results
The Library presents a lot of useful information, but often I find it hard to find simple things. For instance, right now I was ttrying to find out if Golem Factory is always a dwelling, where you must fight all those golems, instead of being a place where you can simply hire Stone Golems (just like a regular dwelling). There was no result at all for the criteria 'golem' AND 'factory'. Or when I found out if you want to customise the mages guild spells wiht specific spells, you have to set them on MAY, and not on MUST colum (I later posted what I think is a bug for this case), which sounds odd.
Sometimes I want to try and solve / understand a problem without starting a new topic, because it must suck for the admin. to organise every 'new old subject' over the years...

Something that would probably help the forum would be a sticky 'ask a question' thread. I found this forum trying to search for an answer to a rather specific question, but find that I cannot post a thread to ask about it, there is no general questions thread to ask in, nor is there an active thread on the topic my question was related to.
I'm not sure how severe the bot problem is here, but since its on the topic of a game, people are very likely to show up to ask a question, and may be put off from returning since they can't actually ask their question.
Edit: It seems it only takes one post to get topic posting privileges, which is better than I expected. Though probably still off putting at first glance.

I agree. I didn't make it though all of the vids yet. I think I made it to about 123 or so.
SAG deserves a QP also. I don't have any specific posts in mind, but he regularly contributes and is always helpful to new members, especially online players.

Anyway HoMM I&II can get a seperate forum. Majority of posts in LoE are HoMMIII related so its hard to find I/II related posts. If you can't you can't. But thought I'd ask.

Hello everyone,I am new to this HOMM3 world,i never knew that still so many people play it. Few of my friends and I started playin HOMM3 few weeks ago,and i came to this site,and I must say that I am still glad that there are lots of HOMM3 players. Anyway,let me get to the point:
I have a question,about a random maps ( templates ) do you use always that default template you get with a game,or for tournaments and competitions you play special maps,or you have some special random templates? Like if any of you played Warcraft3,on WCG and tournaments,ladder , you have only 5,6 maps that are always played,you dont play all kind of maps... I dont know if you got my point,my english is bad a bit,but still i am trying my best to explain our problem.

from default random templates experienced players play mostly 8mm6. Other templates are hand-made. You can download most popular templates from www.heroes-iii.com -> Download -> Maps -> Random.

Hello!
One of the help threads listed on table of contents don't exist. When i click link "Solutions Heroes 3 problems, Windows XP, Combined Artifact List, Shadow of Death" it gives me following error: "Error has been encountered while processing this request. The input data might not have been valid."
So, is there a problem with url and if is, can anyone fix it? I really like to find some help for my SoD.
