Now that I've started replaying: Might. Easily. So incredibly boring and repetitive. Even worse is that without Magic, most of your units miss out on buffs they sorely need. (Precision for Centaurs/Cyclopes, Martyr/Teleport/Aura of Death for Berserkers, Life Buffs (but mostly Bless, Spirit Armor and Mirth), etc)
Playing with sucks so much they've now officially replaced Death as my least favorite alignment ever. >__<

Really? But you get a super beefed up hero after a few months. That and it's harder to outsmart your opponent without spells which require skill.

Hate to break it to everyone but I've played all the alignments to the nth degree and I think Death is the only completely horrible race.

No, death magic is awful for both support and solo heroes. (except hand of death, vampiric touch and aura of fear) Imps, Skeletons, Ghosts and Cerebrus are terrible. Vampires are their only redeeming feature, but by selecting them you lose all your ranged power and all it takes is some mechanicals and you're done for. Both Devils and Bone Dragons are quite mediocre compared to other level 4 creatures. Both of the Death heroes are horrid, and choosing a decent base hero gives them a massive moral penalty due to the undead, preventing them from getting a turn.
Chaos and Order are horribly overpowered, Death is not.

Umm? really? Ever heard about necromancy? And vampires pretty much dominate everything. You are right about order thou, order magic and the ridiculousness of genies is hard to beat, but u can usually rush it up with death. And chaos is nothing special.
I think they fixed deaths overpower in that mod, but I'm not sure since I never got it.
And lvl1-2 creatures never make it to the end fight anyway so they dont matter that much. Death magic combined with nature magic is awesome.

vampires are slightly less strong in equilibris but still owns everything. genies were made even stronger. sure their illusion and ice bolts are about 25% less powerful, but they can cast mass slow instead...
order have insane spells, and genies.
chaos have medusas, and it's about their only imba creature. thiefs who can easily find resources for a quick start. when it comes to spells, there is a bit of luck required I think. much better to get mass slayer, mass misfortune or cloud of confusion than fireball or inferno.
nature only really get strong at the end, they have very strong tier 7, summoning portal and can summon big armies on the battlefield. their low level summon spells are quite pathetic in another hand.
it's true that low level death creatures are pretty bad. but high level creatures are good. vampires are imba, necromancy too. death magic seems below other magic, fortunately you can also pick order and chaos. though, if you can get death + nature magic, the demonologist is just imba too.
life has a decent army but no imba creatures. their magic is insane, spells like martyr, sanctuary, guardian angel are crazy strong. and if you also have an order spellcaster...

I seriously dislike Might as they don't possess magic and the creatures are not very likeable to me. I don't prefer Nature either as their magic is full of summon spells and this makes them a bit boring.
Life on the other hand is one of my favourite alignments and I don't quite see why people don't like it that much. True, their creatures are somewhat weak, and their magic doesn't contain good attacking spells. Still, I do think that their magic, tactically combined with the creatures' abilities make a powerful combo. Life spells are very tactical and let you do a lot of spectacular tricks if you know which one to use under certain circumstances.
Death is my other favourite alignment. They are stronger than life, and the spells are useful as well. I like necromancy too, which can give you a big boost to the quantity of your forces if you take a lot of combats.
Chaos is also good I think. It has the best creatures in the game while their attacking spells also rule the world. You have to be careful with them though, strength isn't everything. Chaos is pretty much built up so that its main property is strength (creatures and attacking spells also prove this right). With a little strategy though, such as avoiding cheap tricks designed to play against strength, you can inflict tremendous damage with them.
Order is pretty much the opposite of Chaos but not only in a way you might think on the first look. As I wrote above, Chaos is concerned about strength. Order however doesn't have very strong creatures (with the exception of Gold golems and Titans), altough possess some spells that can easily cause you a headache. Again, like the Life, Order creautres and spells make an exceptional harmony and used together can become a mighty force to deal with. Order by the way is more of strategical than tactical. Long-term plans and ideas are much more important than on-the-spot decisions.
Of course, magic can be combined as well. If I'm not with chaos, I always choose chaos magic as my second magic alignment. Their sorcery is qiute useful especially combined with order, altough it's difficult to gain these two opposing magic skills, it's worth it! I also like to combine Order with Life, these two magics together form the most tactical combo one can imagine.
