@E-Lysander : Guess you won't buy any Heroes games anymore then. JVC is working for EA on a new Command & Conquer spin-off. Tbh JVC is not exactly a guy I'd trust anymore. He has ditched every single big project he has been working on during the 8 last years : he ditched NWC before the H4 Xpacks were released, he ditched NCSoft before Lineage II was released and he ditched Trion (his own company) before Rift was released.
To be honest, I don't really consider them to be Heroes games... spin-offs? Inspired-by? But official entries into the series? I have a hard time accepting that. :/

Haven't you learned by now that generalising is bad for your health?
I love the AC franchise, for other numerous reasons. It's not about the graphics since I really don't think that any game in the series sets a decent benchmark like other open world games (Red Dead comes to mind). In fact, the games suffer from bad framerates, screen-tearing and other glitches. But considering it's the only franchise that constantly takes us back in time and recreates those cities so accurately is something I tend to praise.
Gameplay-wise, it's all subjective. For you it may be boring, but I found it's systems some of the best this generation. Sure, it can be a bit more stealthy or the game could feature a difficulty setting because so far it's on the easy-peasy side.
I won't argue that people aren't suckers for nice graphics because they are but what do you want us to play? Text-based rpg's? It's 2011 and I expect games to look outstanding, even Heroes VI.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with 2D sprites. Make them fluid and HD, and that would be perfect.

If JVC and HoMM will be back on its older days, then I'm the happiest man in the world!I just miss old Heroes and with the new possibilities of 2011/2012 technology it's gonna be AWESOME!I just hope they take more after Heroes 3 than Heroes 4(for what h4 was lame),give alot of moddin' options and BACK TO AXEOTH!

Well JVC is back in the strategy fantasy market, only the mobile one (where there is most gamers in our dark times and age).
Creature Quest will soon celebrate one year anniversary for worldwide release, get the game and Join the subforum.
We have a nice guild going too, HC Kreegans, that HCers have priority to join.
