Class is in Session.
Teacher you and Zud are my only teachers.
But I do have a question for the Teacher.
In our last learning session you told me that TARGETS refered to creatures ONLY.
SO now I am confused. I just read the description on Angels resurection. It says:
"Angels can resurect TARGETS who have died in combat."
I have seen Angels resurect Heroes. But that cant be. My teacher told me that TARGETS = Creatures.
ALSO... I see that Prayer is cast on ALL LIFE targets. Curious... you told me that a hero is not concidered a LIFE target. Previously I had a problem with Holy SHout not affecting Death Targets, and you laughed at me and suggested I delete my post because people would laugh at me. And you went on to explain that Heroes that are aligned with Death are really not concidered Death Targets. So then why are Heroes that are aligned with LIFE concidered LIfe Targets? Please explain. I really am curious and want to learn.
Can you please enlighten me further.

Hmm now I am really really confused!!
Teacher wouldnt mislead his student would he?
@ Balcough -- Can you help me with a question??
This is what my previous post was about that Teacher suggested I delete?
I recently had a game with Lealth in which he was Death and he had 5 Death Heroes / Spawns and Bone Dragons. I cast 150 damage holy shout and NONE of his heroes was even touch with it. ANd it was not anything to do with Magic resistance. No resist shields came up etc, it was simply just not cast on them at all, and my question is WHY?
Teacher says it was because Death heroes are merely aligned with Death that they are not really Death Targets. But seems that cannot be correct since Prayer affects Life Targets and that includes heroes. And Balcough also says that Heroes are included in Targets.
So who is Right? And if Balcough is right, then why did Holy SHout work?

Holy Shout says it works on ALL death targets.
Just like Prayer says it works on ALL life targets.
Logical to assume they work the same on all targets as it says.

one more thing....
read the description of holy shout in book......it says that it affects creatures. Thats why heroes are not affected.
Whenever it says targets, that includes both heroes and creatures, hence, everyone.

Yes, very interesting. The Death heroes are considered alive ! They can still be healed with potions and other healing spells, and that makes them immune to holy shout/word. BUT. Demons are also alive, but Word/Shout affects them. Note that holy water damages your Death hero. So I can only make a conclusion, that NWC didn't made the spell work, because it would be definately a hero killer and quite a cheap one (lvl.1), since holy word does not require line of sight. To sum up everything... My opinions would be: Either that was made in order to balance the game or it was one innacuracy of NWC.
Edit: typos.

Well thanks to LichKing and Karim, they just solved the problem very quickly.
The book says it the correct way the ingame description says it WRONG. Nuff said. Just as I suspected. I lost my book so couldnt check that myself.
Thanks LichKing and Karim for quick responses. It helped alot. I appreciate your support.

It is all so simple now...
My original post in which I deleted, I posed the question.
Is Holy Shout Bugged? Or is the description wrong?
Everyone even Teacher tryed to go in depth explaining why it was working as it was. That didnt matter lol.
The Book has the appropriate description, that makes sense to how it works. So my answer to my original question was that the Description in game is just wrong. Nothing more to say. Had the in game description said what the book says then I never woulda had the need to make the post or even be having this discussion.
Plain and simple the description is wrong. Case Closed. Thanks all for you help. I really appreciate it. Even balcough.

holy word/shout works as it says it does - only on death creatures. HOWEVER, it's interesting that you can throw holy waters on death HEROES and it hurts them, even though holy water is supposed to be just like holy word except in potion form (also exorcism, if thrown on self)
edit: ah sry lichking, i skimmed through thread and didnt see that you already mentioned that
