Yes I would, as I said, my style differs, I dislike large gatherings and prefer smaller groups in the main, so I'd probably just say "bye" and go out

Interesting topic. I would probably take a course of action similar to Privatehudson's, though I would stay if I found someone to have a good conversation with. I'm actually very shy in real life, especially with those that I don't know well. I would probably leave after a while too, and would sit outside until I either got up the courage to go home or to go back inside.

Or maybe, and just think of this... that we actually made to Yellowstone, like we've talked about??? You, me, maybe your girl, and my son, and husband (if he's availble which is doubtful) -- small enough group for you? LOL!

Yes it was the truth. It happened as I said but I left out my screams of fear as I ran home. I was afraid but I faced my fear with courage. My younger brothers were nine and six. My sister was only four years old. You can imagine what that does to your heart when you see a little girl bleeding from many parts of her body, and crying for her mother especially if she is your baby sister. For me, that day was a good day to die.
 Time heals and yet it doesn't. Sometimes in life we are left with scars. I have always thought of my scars as part of my identity. They constantly remind me that I have strength and courage. Fighting for your loved ones is a noble cause. I respect any man or woman who stands tall in face of overwhelming adversity as if to say, "If I do nothing then I am nothing. Let this day make me a hero as I am willing to protect that which I care about."

Do you? It’s not the same, though. When out with friends, I rarely debate with them. While here, people see you and me primaraly as debaters. That’s the side of our personality which we can reveal. People here can’t say whether I’m shy or not, confident, outgoing, pleasant or any of those damn traits that can come up only face to face in a spontanious chat. But they can say I’m an arrogant, stubborn bastard, which never gives up. Or that one is really smart and two is really stupid.

How did we end up in this carnal discussion, I thought we were hanging out on a rug, eating junk food, drinking weird mixed drinks, playing the boardgame version of heroes, and having good quality get to know each other discussions. besides, you would never see the real side of a person if we met in rL. People tend to hold back there true feelings when they meet people in rL, even if they are not intentionally doing it. But if we are all going to run through the woods Bucknaked with each other, than hell with it i'm in. that's probably the best way to get to know someone anyways. Side note to peacemaker, if thats what we're doing, can we invite tigerangel, I like here avatar. lolololol.............................

First of all, what does RF stand for?
Second of all, you all have to excuse our side comments and conversations between certain individuals. Fact is I have formed some very important friendships here in HC, and I suppose that the candor arising from much of that banter will be misconstrued and lead to side conversations which might be misleading to those not privvy to them.
Third of all, (relating back to my second point) -- that some might be more able to form real relationships based on mere words than others -- and that has been my experience here. While I have some people in my life that I have come to take very seriously -- for instance, PH, Romy, Hexa, The Gootch, Wolfman, maybe even Lith and Valeriy -- others seem to continue to use the "words" wall to hold one another at arm's length. Perhaps what I'm trying to do here is to break down those walls and get people to think in other ways than that.
We have an opportunity here to become a Global community. It is up to us how seriously we take that, and what we do with it. As a child born into a world where the Cold War prevailed and the most immediate forms of communication were the telephone and telegraph, I see an immense resource here to build such a community.
And I think that's what I am trying to foster.

I always watch the cat out of the tree.. Which means I first see what's going on in the group before I decide to interact. I wouldn't be the "talker" but more the listener. I would be observing people and having fun looking at facial expressions and body language people are using (having fun in a good way). Mostly I'd stay close to hexa since ya'll frighten me to death!!!

It's amazing how much you can tell how a persons feeling by their movements, actions, eye movements & much more.
Sometimes you can know alot about a person by movements.
