not that I'm gonna participate, but here are a few thoughts from me - as requested by Hexa ;-P
commenting h3 only - almost all boni / powers require mapediting. last time I checked most ppl played rmg-ed randoms, so most clan games require a neutral 3rd party who is able and willing to create a custom-template-random-map and edit the bonus in.
necro power - ridiculously overpowered on fixed maps. although the thought of seeing my opponent running around with 1 hero on battle for honor (as one example) for 4 days is very amusing hehe. somebody must really suck if he doesn't win every game - regardless of the bonus of the opponent. on randoms 160/200% it is more interesting, but nobody plays against necro anyways, so necro clans will probably have a hard time getting games.
demon's fear isn't that bad, since you can use the starting armies of 3 heroes, external dwellings, ref camps, joiners for 4 days. tough (very tough on some maps), but pretty interesting actually.

I vote to remove these 2 and figure something new, couse found them way to powerful, that gives automatic wins.
eg.for necro a hero(with master necro magic)
for deamonic -few war and few magic guilds

powers should be strong , it happens once at 9 games, i think they are ok so far, with all the tunnings made.
and about the scarab; its only one, not 2 for 2 gm druids to summon 8. in which game is happening to summon like this? of course not heroes
scarab and staff will be nice...like a story

Remember that the only Clans matches that there will be are war matches. There is no addict portion to this tournament. Just clan war competition which will mean that all games will have to be pre-set up. There is no reason why once the matches for a war are set and maps / rmg files chosen that I can't generate the map so that no other third party is needed. I will do a little experimenting with the rmg files and the map editor and see if I can still password them. That way the map could be sent to one player and the password to the other. Not sure yet if it can be done that way. Will check it out right after I finish with what Ves currently has me working on, hehe.
OK< I looked into it. I can't figure a way to password the map save file itself, but I can password the zip file that it is in. This means that it would be possible for me to generate the map in the map editor, make the changes needed and the put it in a passworded zip file. I can then send the zip to one player and the password to the other so there is no chance that one could see the exact map before the other. It would be up to Ves and the clan leaders though.

I've forgotten much about homm3 mapmaking... can it be scripted to have black dragon on a later day eg, day 4 or 5 in a homm3 map?

H3 and Blackie Joining day 5
I dont think so ves, but all you would have to do is set the blackie on the map about 4-5 days travel from the players starting town and set it to join. Then they could sent hero out to the blackie and would take them 5 days to get to it. Hope that helps.

of course it can be done. In starting town settings you can specify events which will take place on a special day. For example, in battle of bastards 2, week 1 day 1 you get additional level 1 & 2's and week 4 day 1 you get level 7/6/5 units.

However, it is my understanding that those troops are added to the creature generator in your town, not directly to your troops. Basically it just makes an extra one available for purchase. That also means that if you don't have your dwelling already built, then you don't get the creature. I could be wrong as I don't do a lot of mapmaking, but that is my understanding anyway.

You can play in a homm3 clan or homm4 clan, or both. But an individual clan cannot play both homm4 and homm3.

LOL ... this is insane. I quit playing heroes for 1 year and u people are still haunted by me . Btw, I miss heroes community sometimes  . It was really fun playing with u guys ... maybe I will come back in heroes 5.
