For many people, role-playing is about elves and dragons fighting each others...

I should have called it RPM (since it's a movie not a game
I think it has the elements:
Dwarves,Elves,haflings...
Magic,swords,good and evil...
Every character has chosen his role(G or E)in the movie.
Fallout is a RPG. does that have Dwarves and stuff?
and RPG stands for role playing game. there are no roles being played.

Well you have a point of view.
I thought about it after I have posted that day.
They say system shock 2 had some RPG elements.and Deus Ex too.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but what the word role means here.
My first RPG I played was Lands OF Lore 1:The Throne Of Chaos.
With 386 CPU And Dos.

The problem is, RP is a more interactive form of entertainment, be it computer games or "pen and paper". LOTR is a fantasy movie, not an RPG movie
You wanna call a movie an RPG one, look at Dungeons and Dragons (there is a movie like that, right?) - at least it was based on an RPG

Yes I have seen D&D movie.
But if Bulders Gate is made a film in two or three parts.
What shall we call it then?!

Such Kind Acknowledgments
Lord_Woock,
You make a valid and excellent observation. As anything in life, nothing a person does will be of any significance unless they give their interests all of themselves. This is what I believe and practice. Every day I think and think and think about what I can do to improve my written works. The same can be said of any project that a person is interested in.
The movie you speak of is widely considered to be a complete disappointment. I agree with this popular opinion. That is why I devote all my time, outside of being a father, to this end. I want to sculpt words, paint plots, and inspire adventure in the minds of my readers. It may take me the rest of my life to perfect this work of fiction and that's acceptable to me. As a painter would not want to show the world his painting until it is finished, so too should I wait patiently to release my completed stories.
I was not originally considering to take the diaries to this level until I saw how you all are enjoying the material. I have decided that I will continue with novel format. I once considered to format the material for the movie screen the way John Steinbeck did with his The Pearl. But then I realized that it would under-represent the nature of these tales. I believe that the spirit of this material is storytelling at its most base of origins on an epic scale. I personally feel that stories are best told in novels while movies are best when derived from the novel. That is why I write the novel and dream of the movie. When it is complete I am fully confident that I could use this product to create a successful motion picture.
Roland,
I have not yet thought of a title. This is a wonderful idea. I had simply assumed it would be the name of the book. Perhaps we can brainstorm for more interesting names! I would like that very much.

Finding a title, that take us to another subject hmmm..
I think it's better to wait till the diaries is near the end,and everyone who is reading it might put a title(you want it for BG 1 alone I think).
After that you see what is good for you either from the collection or your own thoughts.
