Red stars dont always mean mean much . While an awesome and informative post will always get one some people have gotten one for wierd ideas and rather less-than-useful posts when the mods were in a really goood mood or in the early days of HC or when none have been handed out for a very long time
Or maybe im just saying that because ive never gotten a QP...

Today Stephane Fidanza (Sfidanza) was removed from Age of Heroes Team and Heroes Community Mod Squad. In terms of the projects Sfidanza was involved in, for the sake of everyone else involved we'll post the final version of the manual on AOH when it is completed, and end our collaboration with him. All other collaboration with him has already been ended.
The situation that led to this decision evolved over the last year and I feel it is important to explain it for understanding of everyone involved in operation of AOH and HC, and contributors of related projects.
Building on our good collaboration with Sfidanza inside the AOH team, in September 2006 I've offered him paid work which involved creation of new software for GAO, the advertising network which manages advertising space of Age of Heroes and Heroes Community and covers the costs of our dedicated server.
Sfidanza prepared a contract under his company Synexis which outlined the project - creation of the new software, three months of corrective maintenance after launch of the new software, and maintenance of current software until launch of new software, and named the price of 2,000 euro. I've accepted the price and in good will offered to break it into three payments of 667 - pre-payment, mid-project, and upon completion. Contract was signed in the end of September 06 and I've made the first pre-payment. In our conversations, the expected completion date was early 2007.
In early 2007 few modifications were made to the old software, but development of new software was slow. I've offered to increase the budget and pay more, and Sfidanza suggested that we review this upon launch of new software. Development remained slow, which Sfidanza repeatedly explained with his other commitments and other clients, and I remained understanding of his situation, also making the second pre-payment of 667 euro.
Around April I started having difficulties getting replies from Sfidanza about the state of the project and resorted to messaging him via multiple channels to get a reply. Despite his apologies, the lack of progress and long delays in responding to my communications about the project continued. In June I've explained that the contracted work can't be pushed off any longer and that new software must be ready for testing on 1st of July and ready for launch on 1st of August. Sfidanza replied "I understand and I completely agree."
As July began I've heard nothing from Sfidanza and saw no progress on the workspace. I've tried contacting him via e-mail, team board and HCM and have not received a reply. It seemed like he disappeared. Soon it became apparent that he is still involved in HOMM5 manual project and replies to messages from other people. He then resumed updating AOH, while still avoiding me and ignoring my messages about the contracted work.
Seeing that the contracted work is not likely to be completed, and that at its current state of development the new software is completely unuseable, I've discarded the "pile of parts" left by Sfidanza and began programming what the project was meant to produce by myself, fortunately finding myself to be skilled enough. I requested refund of the money I've pre-paid for work that was not done. For almost six months, since June, I have not received a single reply from Sfidanza about the contracted work or about the refund, and was left by him in full uncertainty.
In December I came to the conclusion that Sfidanza's actions are fraudulent (contract signed, money taken, work not done, money not returned, no explanation given) and deliberately sabotaging (if he had any positive concerns about me or my business he would have told me as soon as possible that he cannot complete this project, to ensure that I can find someone else to perform the required work on time).
As this conduct cannot exist in teams with any hope for positive collaboration or trust, following discusion with The_Hydra, I've posed an ultimatum to Sfidanza that either this matter must be resolved, or his cooperation with AOH and HC will be terminated. This produced the first reply since June, in which Sfidanza admitted fault, expressed positive intentions, did not explain his hiding behavior, and refused to refund the pre-payments, claiming that the fraction of the work he's done is a bargain for the money I've pre-paid.
For the sake of AOH and HC, and to acknowledge the minor part of the contract, I've offered to forgive half of the pre-paid amount, and asked for the other half of 667 euro back. Sfidanza refused, saying that I'm conditioning AOH/HC collaboration on a payment he doesn't agree with.

He isn't needed to make it public, but think sbout the many that will say:"Hey, why isn't Sfidanza a Moderator any more?". Or he just is kind. Thats my guesses, but it may not be true(my guesses)

We indeed have a disagreement about a completely unrelated matter. In a few words, the initial contract was offered at one third at least of the real cost (which was obviously a mistake on my part), to account for the fact that GAO was only starting business and had few resources. Now GAO displays around 50.000.000 ads a day.
I consider that what I have done is worth what Valera paid, he doesn't. That's all. Since he owns AoH/HC, he decided to remove me from the team unless I paid him back. As I answered him, I can not disregard a professional disagreement to be allowed to pursue a personal commitment. I won't pay just to be able to contribute here.
Back on topic, I don't think I have ever let down AoH/HC or the Community at large. On the contrary, I think my contribution has been substantial, including in these last months. So if Valera cannot work with me anymore, it's his loss. My future contributions will be made somewhere else, I'll let you know in the Modder's Workshop when it's time.

So what were you working on when you were supposed to be working elsewhere?
Whats shadier is if you are terminated, I dont know how Val can get any refund from you.
If he has a legal way I would advise he goes through with it.
After all you got what you want while playing goody two shoes, playing it off as if Val was the bad guy.
Your shady dude & whatever plans you made for YOURSELF.
I guess it is always nice to get a little boost huh?
