as for me
My brother introduced me to H3 back in 1999 i think.
I played single-player on my employers laptop, with a case of beer. I simply loved it !! The music, the gameplay.
Then one day, I did a search on this game and thats when www.toheroes.com appeared. I registered and played and played. Even while at work, all I could think of was H3 all the time.
I did suck bigtime in H3. I played this girl Uncoated Titan on HG, and she would kick my arse all the time.
Then came H4, and Zud taught me 80% of the game.
And here now, H5, playing and playing, great game.

"What's TOH?"
well for me it started with H4  with a question "WHAT'S TOH?" on Game Spy main chat....
Well I MISS gamespy chat and the atmosphere of H4, those times were really funny, and pity that only 50% of H4 dinosaurs managed to survive to play H5. 
Anyway after H4 i had a little break, than came H5 so i was back, then i had a BIG break again and now i'm back again for good
Did someone miss me ?
