Soul Caliber 2
I just got given this game for my birthday, and I need to say it rocks. On consoles, the beat-em-up genre is probably my favorite, and this one is even better than Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance imo.
I have it on Gamecube, so I get to play as Link as well.
Anyone else a fan of the game?
Who's your (least)/favorite character and why?
Any good strategies you like to use?
I've only been playing it a few days and I like Ivy, Kiliki and Link. Nightmare is good as well if you want a powerhouse.

Voldo, Cervantes... They are so sweet...  .. Cervantes is the bomb, and i'm almost unstopable with voldo(he is extremely fast)

Ivy, Kilik and Nightmare are my favs (although people tend to think Nightmare is a noob character).
Maxi is also cool coz he is a pimp

I don't really like any of the characters, but I play pretty well with Kilik and decently with Raphael, Yunsung, and Talim.
Soul Calibur II is a fun game but I never have anyone to play it with -_-

Man, I completed arcade mode with a few chararcters and I have to say, this game has the CRAPPIEST end sequences ever!!
Remember SFII? It had great end sequences!! This just shows a stationary picture of the character and about 12 lines of after story!!
Then it unlocks you their 'profile' so you can read about 12 lines of before story.
Multiplayer is still the best, and I like the weaponsmaster mode, it really lets you hone your skills.
Of course, the guy who bought me it for my birthday is a big fan of the game, so it's a real buzz when I kick him to bits in a VS battle.
At the moment I play best with: Ivy, Link, Sophitia and Seung Mina. I'm decent with Cervantes and Astaroth as well.

I like using Ivy with Alraune, Seung Mina with Halberd, And Maxi with Chained Kosuka, Oh yeah! I like Taki to but I don't have her weapons upgraded much yet. But I loves her jump! ^_^

yes of course
beserker = beat weapon master subchapter one-extra mission
assassin = beat weapon master subchapter 3 stage 2
lizard man= all weapon masters chapters including extra
for that you will need subchapter 2
subchapter 2=get 300,000 exp to become a iron edgemaster
then beat chapter4-3

I love SC2, i-ve been playing it for the last few months, non-stop.
My fav are: Seung Mina, Ivy, Taki, Casandra, Xiangshua(sp?)........i guess i should put some male character as well, so i'll say Raphael

Raphael sure has some nice moves... but the best male character imo is Nightmare (gotta luv that badass sword of his ) The best charcter however, would be Ivy... I won a mini tournament with her

I've heard that. No one else I've heard of is too happy about it.
My favorite character is Astaroth, pure devastation if you use him right.
