Problem is buddy you do it all sorts of games: Hotels,
risk, Heroes... and my hero was pretty small after the fight as well!! 
and when the other quits instead of loosing graciously (like in Risk), it sours the victory for the other!
Pan? SHACKLES??? nice.... I need your husbands personal email! I have questions, he has answers!!
But if ever your in the big O (ottawa that is)
let us know and we'll have to get a case o' beer and play a little XL map no rules ol' school style!!!

I always conceed if I know I'm out of the game, and I always expect the same from my opps. I mean, how much fun is it to play if you know your opponant is just sitting there waiting to die and having a miserable time?
The worst risk game i ever played was the first game i ever tried. It was my buddies third turn - he cashed in and basically crossed the world to squash me.
Then he said 'he thought i was dangerous'
How dangerous is a chick who's only ever played on PC before, and who hasn't cashed in yet.
So I came to the conclusion that Risk is stupid.

well, there are plenty of players on the zone. And in any case, we don't play much anymore, so the harm has been done, right?
Sorry, I've thought alot about this and I wont change. I don't play a game to build a reputation, to keep friends, to please my opponents or any other reasons.
All the arguments lead up to pleasing the person who will win while the other is playing a boring game.

Funny you bring up risk... Back in college a few of us always got together and played a "heated" game of risk. Some of the guys I played with would get offended by a move, then try to attack you and put you out... but would roll snake eyes 5 turns in a row and finally throw the dice. The more angry the guy got, the more entertaining it was for the rest of us and we egged him on more!!!  When it was all over, we went out and got plowed and all was good.

I would agree to that if you were playing 1 vs 1, but when playing a group, you are expected to finish your own roles so that the game is fair for those who are still in the game... you wanted to play, at least have the decency to role for your own armies...

if he cashed in on the first round, he doesn't know the rules... no cash in in round 1.
Conan,
We're not talking about pleasing someone (and it has nothing to do with ego), we're talking about game etiquette. I've sat there many a times just roling knowing full well that I'm at the end. But for the other people who still have a chance, just dropping out ruins it for everyone.

In a group, I agree. And that's a very good point. But the game Jebus is reffering too was a 1 vs 1 Medium map.
