It's funny, every time I've seen a time capsule opened in recent years, the reaction has pretty much always been "Oh that's nice...so does anybody want any of this boring crap?"

I've seen that same reaction. I suppose it only matters after 1,000 years or so. Wouldn't it be nice to learn the ancient language of those natives from the Easter islands? I hear that's one of today's great mysteries. And for a very long time ancient Egyptian was lost also.
