The endless drivel of debates over the 360 vs the ps3 boil down to this:
Look at the exclusive games in each. Pick the one that you want the most.
Or option B: buy em' both.
Loyalty to a gaming system makes less sense than Duke Falcon.
The only other major factor that plays into it is if you wanted the complimentary Blu ray (i.e. me) in exchange for a more expensive system.

I love my PS3. I bought it mostly for the Blu Ray, but the games also are pretty damn good. There are a few XBOX360 exclusives I wish I could own, but my gaming time is restricted anyway and there are enough PS3 titles to keep me entertained.

ANYTHING not Nintendo is heresy! Nintendo, unlike Sexbox and Gaystation is something more unique compared to the almighty PC (Mac sucks). Well, I am under the impression that Nintendo have not released many new good games the last few years but still...
Super Smash Bros Brawl: One of the first Wii games but still THE best platform fighting game ever made.
Mario Kart Wii: Still the best racing game.
Mario Party series: The funniest random **** around.
Of course, PC is still the best overall (Mac sucks) but Microsoft needs to learn how to prioritise.
A few words to Bill Gates:
Microsoft, stay out of the TV and focus on crushing the Apple rebellion! Do not make Palpatines mistake and take the rebels lightly, even with their leader dead.

buuuuuut...
xbox is just better somehow, I guess better marketing skills from microsoft?
its like this cool kid at school, you dont actually know why hes better than you (infact, hes not) but he gets the girls

I would like to change my opinion ;P
I own a PC, a Wii, and a Playtation 3, Aaand i've borrowed one of my friends Xbox 360..
So i have compared them all..
PC will always win ofcourse, but the debate is abot PS3 vs XBOX 360.
And Wii is on the bottom no matter what..
Judging from perfomance and internet research, the PS3 has the best CPU..
Graphics is best on the Xbox 360.. No doubt about that.
Multitasking, and fast menu walkthrough, i guess RAM..
Playstation has less ram than Xbox 360, but in someway still faster and better speed.. So again, internet search..
Playstation 3 wins.
Harddrive is PS3 with 70 GB ahead of Xbox 360.
Discdrive: Heh, 2x Bluray and 8xDVD over 12xDVD because xbox's lesser storage capacity makes the PS3 ahead once again..
Video Support is PS3 again..
Audio Support
Connectivity
Everything here is PS3....
Networking though is waayyy better on the Xbox 360..
And the Xbox 360 is more backward compatible than the PS3..

But all in all, i'd say i'll put my vote for PS3..!

Why compare them in such a horrible way?
PS3 gets horrible ports due non mainstream architecture, but good ports are good, and native games is good. The next thing you really can compare is the controller, where the xbox has horrible dpad and variable build quality and really neat analog sticks. Also: No 3rd party wireless ones, but not a issue. The PS3 controller has a better dpad, button quality is about the same, but poor analog sticks. So all that it comes down to is what you are playing.
So in the end the only important thing is what games you want.... Any prefferances for exclusives?

Pfft the ability to connect my PC to my Xbox is a blessing transferring files n' music, was considering mods aswell, but I've seen people claim it's impossible to mod console games, we shall see.
(plkus xbox controllers are fully optimised to be used on the PC)
